I'm not comparing this guy with Son. I was responding to a generic point that players of a certain nationality won't be successful in the PL.
Each signing or potential signing has to be judged on it's own merits and if we are, consistent with Poch's plan, looking to purchase young talent across Europe then I welcome it.
We have got to where we are through buying and developing young players and if we add one or two established stars as well then great.
We are the envy of a lot of teams because of what we paid for Bale, Rose, Walker, Dier, Dele etc. when they were all just potential. Not one of them worth under £40 mill now.

i agree with your point that nationality has no relationship with a player's career in PL.
if the player joins i would support them as long as they pay their 100% to the club.
however imo we have an alternative, which is concentrating our scarce resources to sign a more developed player, as we already have top talents in our academy

Were you an avid Caen watcher then? Was clearly better than Njie and Nkoudou but scored 1 goal in 26...

rose and walker took many years to develop as a top player. judged by the situation of njie and nkoudou i don't think the club is willing to give several seasons to a young player now. we need signings like wanyama or alderweireld who can make instant impact. i am surprised with dier and dele's progress though

2015 when I saw him play against us for Monaco and other games that season. He looked a great player. That alright with you.

The majority of the players you mention were well known promising youngsters though so it was good transfer business going for them. I don't believe anyone on SC had heard of this guy, njie and nkoudou before we were linked with and signed them. That's what I'm trying to get at. They weren't stand out youngsters. Players like Lennon, Alli, Huddlestone, Bale and Walker, for example were. Eriksen was young but an exceptionally talented and experienced for his age player when we got him so doesn't really fit the same mould.

The ones playing in Britain may have been known here but it wasn't like we won a mad stampede to buy them all. The prices were reasonable - we took the risk and it has more than paid off.
I don't know this Under kid but I' don't know much about Turkish football. If he has broken through this season and has been monitored by our scouts then I trust them to do their job. Better to spend £8-10 mill now than have a thread in two years where we're wondering will we splash £40 mill on him. That's what Manoo, Man City and Chelsea do - we have a different set up.

Never seen him play, but by some reports he's the Turkish Dele Alli...time will tell of course...and wouldn't it be nice to get new faces in early so they can do a FULL pre-season with us...

I'm not holding my breath though..

On a side note Adebayor plays for the same club in Turkey [Basaksehir]

Wanyama and Toby were not really obvious much sought after signings .i doubt most would have thought their value would have tripled .point being 80% of our signings are hunches .we rarely be able to sign absolute proven quality
