Sorry but I can't agree with you. We are employing one best paid managers in the world who basically made his career out of playing exactly like that, while Gattuso is basically a nobody in terms of management. Probably even a failure as a manager, on the whole. We should be able to carve out something that at least resembles defensive stability if the likes of Gattuso are able to.

My point is, the amount of times we see our players surrender possession cheaply, fail to make a simple five yard pass, pick the absolute wrong choice, in the moments we have the ball, is ridiculous. The squad are filled with errors, individual nonsense errors, every single game.
Perhaps it’s a by product of being told to play this certain style, they can’t deal with the pressure of it?

I don’t think we have the players suite to the style we’ve been playing.

I haven't watched much Barca recently but this gives them a chance to play de Jong in the deep role and more technical midfielders so if they're chasing the tie is that necessarily a bad thing?
