Because the refs are told not to blow until the action is complete so VAR can bring it back if necessary or confirm the goal
I honestly think fouls are, if not should be, excluded from that. Fouls are fouls are fouls. Play can be, and should be stopped, if ref confirmed fouls are committed, which they did 99% of the time.

And that’s why so many people question the consistency and capability of referees in this country
I think its that way everywhere. attackers get away with less in the box, defenders more. todays decision aside, thats probably how it should be.

HT thoughts;

Sanchez is stronger than Lukaku and still getting bullied, and his clearance on about 15 mins under no pressure, up into the sky put us under needless pressure.
Stevie has done really well on the break, and he's targeting Silva cleverly since he got his yellow.
Kane when he gets the ball in space on the turn has been great but our passing into him has been poor at times. If we get it to him we're in.
Tanganga needs to come off, stupid yellow again.

Klopp was right about Paul Tierney back in December.
I don’t think Sanchez is stronger than Lukaku lol Lukaku is an absolute beast and Sanchez is a stick.

Agree with all the rest ?

Still think VAR should be able to overturn the goal. Between the users and the way it used over here, we're getting nowhere near to the level of fairness and accuracy we should be at with it.

If we lose today, I want the club to ask serious questions of the league. Absolute disgrace
The referring this year has been appalling but ultimately we need to create more against these big teams to win, we can’t just rely on 1-2 chances.

Let’s hope we get silva sent off and get a 2-0 win. Kane and Bergy. ???

It's always how it is. Defender gets the nudge and goes down for the foul. A PK takes more than a foul in the midfield. It's how it is everywhere in the world. You just don't like it when it happens against you but never notice when it goes in your favor.
