I'm going to the game next week and if Keane is in the side, depending on how I feel I may just leave and go back to the Bill Nick, as I just can't stand this anymore!

We have so much potential to do so well and we are in danger of ruining it all ourselves.

Hope it's Pav and Defoe for Burnley next week and Niko or Gio down the left. If Twitchy plays Keane down the left again I will spontaneously combust.

Keano didn't play down the left today

Keano had a free role dropping deep and linking play all over the pitch and should've won us a peno which he most likely woulda picked himself up and scored

But you've also said he deserved to start, which he didn't. He's been poor since Hull.
He was poor against West Ham and played out of position in the other two games. I assumed that if he was going to start he would start up front, and in the games he started up front he played well in two of them and bad in one.

Pav should get a start against Preston mid week so it's up to him to perform and make it hard for Harry not to pick him in the league.

Wanted Keane to start today, but wasn't too impressed. Can't fault his effort though and of course if it hadn't been Howard 'I hate Tottenham' Webb in charge he would've created the chance for us to get back into the game.

He played well against Hull and that was it, and was alright against Liverpool. He should clearly be never picked on the left again, but he's still offered little up top since Hull, whilst Crouch has been much more impressive. Keane doesn't deserve a start next week, but I expect he will. I just hope if Redknapp's really not going to drop him that he starts delivering.

Personally I blame Luka Modric for all three goals and the general performance of the team. He was nowhere to be seen.

And actually think Lennon is actually as at fault for Cole's goal, as he's blindside of Corluka from the off.

What did Corluka do today that was good? 1 challange after he let the player get on his inside.

Corluka's Fault all the way

Cole is Corlukas man there, he should have more awarness to see where players are. Not just eye on the ball

Ok, Lennon got caught out there as well, but he still been nowhere near Cole

Great defending Corluka...no wait :bang:

It's the fault of Lennon and Corluka. Lennon is the only Spurs player that sees Cole, he either tracks him, or give Charlie a shout.

Looking at that if Corluka never followed cole he would have been off side

Keane played well against Liverpool and could easily have had three goals. He's offered little up front since Hull because he's only played up top once since Hull and surely everyone's allowed one bad game every now and again.

Yes Crouch has been good, and I even said in the "Team vs Chelsea thread" that I would've picked him instead of Keane and I thought the decision was 50-50, but that doesn't mean I thought Keane deserved to dropped.

Ok, Maybe Lennon should have given him a call, but there is no awareness from Corluka there at all. He should be exspecting someone to be coming in from the back

Then I apologise. I was just riled by what seemed to be a typical pro Keane response. Avoiding the performance, and instead turning it onto Defoe. A silly tactic when Defoe is in the top 5 strikers in the league.

No, the opposition fullback will always be the right sided midfielders man, though in the formation we played today, not sure who that should have been, Lennon or one of the three in the middle.

We go from marking them in the first frame, to 2 open Chelsea players in the second. Disgusting.

In that position Cole is the oppositions left sided midfielder. He's Corlukas responsibility solely because he's closest.

Unfortunately Modric seems to be our only consistent creative spark. Palaciois, Hudd, Azza can create occasionally, but not enough. An improvised back 4 against a champs league team is always on a loser.

Corluka messed up but I think that was the third or fourth similiar cross played in from the left

Palacios was being asked to cover that channel and as a CM he naturally drifted in leaving their RM lots os space to make the cross

Should play people in their positions

We have only lost to Utd and Chelsea this season, so far...

I'd have taken that from the first 6 games, at the beginning.

More worried about the defensive situation though..:-(
