To be honest he was at Villa where there were only so many players around him who were even capable of doing anything. Having more quality around him may help him in that respect.

Trouble is now, this is a player alot of people want at our club and like most seasons, it can all go tits up as usual with DL, lets hope I'm wrong, but with DL, it doesn't normally end up in our favour...

We had crazy amounts of hunger from Thudd when Ramos banned Ketchup and that didn't work out too well

Yes. Only 22 yet and already a good player. He could, as you say, improve further though, and will do so imo. I hope we get to see him at his peak. TBH, even at £20m, if that is the price, we won't lose, imo.

Unless the dreaded injury curse strikes.

I agree.

He doesn't have much finesse or technique but he is aggressive in and around the penalty area which I believe AVB wants from a striker in his preferred system. I just hope he develops into more of a Drogba type striker than a Heskey...

Are you serious? he was very hardworking last season and his game was equally about his team as his solo exploits. He held the ball up, linked play, looked for assists as well as his own chances to score and tracked back and worked hard off the ball and when the opponents had the ball

Your comment makes it seems like you've not actually watched him play and are forming opinions of impressions or false information from others
