In the 42 years of my life, I cannot remember being so excited about a player coming to Spurs. His maturity & Level Headedness, (a lot needs to go to his father who seems to be the perfect mentor for him) are at a level that I cannot ever remember from someone at his age.
Yes we have had great players in the past - VDV, Klinsmann, Ginola, Gascoigne, but he seems to have arrived at the club at the perfect time when we need a world class number 10 to compliment out new squad and structure.
I would even go as far to say as that if (and that is a gig "if" because it still has to be proven) the team gels as we all hope, Eriksen will play a bigger part towards the whole teams competitiveness than Bale ever would have.
