So Comolli has been at St Etienne for a day and the managerial casualtys have started already .

What sort of line in bs must this guy have that enables him to string Levy along for 2 years and to ever be taken seriously again after the last disaster he nurtured .

Glad this management consultant has gone to talk-it somewhere else .

Comolli left us with one of the best academy teams in Europe. Exactly his job.

I don't know why he comes in for so much stick, it's the same playing staff that was there with Ramos, Comolli brought in some of this squad and the last five matches are on a par with Arse, Man U & Everton. It seems to me the problem was elsewhere and not Comolli. Maybe the only reason he had to go was that 'Arry wouldn't work with a Dof.

Comolli has done a great job for us. I think it was very sad that we let him go.

I think he had worked well together with Redknapp, if you look at how he has built Portsmouth. I think they would agree more on targets.

You really have no idea about how 'arry works, do you, Spursking? I'd imagine one of 'arry's first conditions was that the Sporting Director's job be axed—but Comolli's neck was on the block anyway. His judgement of players seems not to have been too bad—unfortunately he had shit taste in managers.

Levy made it abundantly clear from the off that if things went tits-up with Ramos it would all be Damo's fault.

It's got bugger all to do with Comolli, Redknapp wouldn't have worked with a DOF end of; it could've been Jesus Christ and he have told him to go to hell.
As it happens I am fine with the squad he's left us with, hate away people but don't pretend he ruined the club, thats bollox.

Comolli did make a few poor signings for us but on the whole i'm more than happy with the youth he brought in. Can't complain about signing promising talents like Gunter, Bostock, and Rose to name just a few. If some of these players make it through to the first team then we'll have a lot to thank him for imo

Cool, hopefully he'll blow their whole transfer budget on Zokora in january.

Am I the only one who actually thinks Zoko is a great player for us ?

in terms of players coming through how many teams actually succeed in this department? west ham obviously, and arsenal have all these wonder kids but none of them are organic. everton bring few a fair few and 'boro do alright.

King was obviously the last major success for our academy; O'hara is doing the job so more kudos for THFC youth. However, how is our performance in relation to other clubs? what is everyone's view?
