Antonio Conte recently became unwell with severe abdominal pain.

Following a diagnosis of cholecystitis, he will be undergoing surgery to remove his gallbladder today (Wednesday) and will return following a period of recuperation.

That would explain why Conte seemed down in his press conference after the World Cup. The speculation was that he had disagreement with the board. Turns out he was unwell, and coupled with the passing of Vialli, surely would sour his mood.

I too have cholecystitis - I named it Daniel Levy. Hoping it gets removed. (I kid, I kid before the uptight people jump on my ass).

Get well, Antonio. Your diet will have to change once the gallbladder is out (my wife also had hers removed). Less high-fat, greasy food. No Chick King foods. But then again you probably already eat well (seeing you banned ketchup!) ;)

Not as much as the current results have soured ours.

Following a surgical procedure today (Wednesday) to remove his gallbladder, Head Coach Antonio Conte has posted the following message on his instagram channel.
Thank you for your lovely messages. My surgery has gone well and I'm already feeling better. Now's time to recover. I can't wait to get back on the field with the team ?
