The fact one uses fact in a sentence doesn't make that sentence a fact.

Over the past decade we have had maybe one player that could have done a job for us in the premier league. (madueke).

All other young players that have left us have gone on to achieve sweet fuck all.

We weren't holding them back.

They weren't good enough.

You might be right, but my post is still factually correct

There's a lot of goldfish on this forum,

There's this narrative that reguilon doesn't have any end product and that's he's just a runner

He was in the top 25 percentile for fullbacks for assists and crosses in to the penalty area.

His problem has solely been fitness, but he's still a good player imo with potential

By your own admission, you cannot prove that mine isn't.

Ave at you! Pedant.
Lol calling me Pedant by being Pedant 😁💚
Ya know, this is in a controversial post thread yeah?

However, pointing out that saying "fact" doesn't make a statement a fact is factually correct. Even if you were possibly correct (in my opinion) 😅.

I pointed it out because it might be seen as controversial, as shown by your response 😇
No offence meant, just a bit of fun. 😊💙🤍

Strangely I don't hate City. I think they're lucky to get the injection of money. Yet I hate Chelsea more but not for the money, for their horrible fanbase and their brand of football over the years (something we've sadly moved to the last few years). I think I just appreciate the football City play but I still don't care about what they win. I just don't blame them for the way they got success. I blame the FA for allowing it in this country. If it wasn't City it would just be someone else. If it was us I doubt many would walk away and I bet most of us would revel in the success. I don't think sportswashing has made much impact on fans either. I think most fans have never really known what goes on in that part of the world anyway and still don't today.

Maybe. But that's because most fans are idiots.

There, that's another opinion for the thread.

If we'd been taken over in that way, I would be deeply uncomfortable right now and probably take a break from Spurs until they left.

That said, I will concede the manner of City's success is undoubtedly impressive. They've bought success, yes. But Pep has also had a part to play.

first time I've had a look in here. If those stats are right, it's more proof stats are shit. Reguilon's final ball, or finish, was inconsistent at best, poor at worst. So many opportunities, hardly ever on the money. Move on. Sorry if this isn't controversial enough :)

That's harsh to call them idiots. At the end of the day many fans are bonded to a club through thick and thin. If a club is taken over by controversial owners they're not going to walk away. Why should they? It's still their club. Besides what goes on in another part of the world takes a back seat to their passion of football in their own country. There's not much wrong with it. I personally don't want the negative energy of human rights elsewhere to impact my life when it doesn't directly affect me. Football is something I love in this country and I choose to focus more on that, its far better for mental health. I mean I watched Soccer Aid and enjoyed the game without spending the whole match worrying about the people that are suffering. Its just choosing to follow the things in life that keep myself upbeat. If we went down the City route I would stick by the club as I love being a fan.

What formation we (and other teams) line up in is of significantly less importance than what is believed both on here and in the media.

I think he could be a key player under Ange and probably the most suited LB to the formation. Obviously pending what Udogie can do in a back 4

I don't care one bit about sexy attacking football, just winning. I actually believe it's a chimera that keeps the club from stepping up.
Sexy attacking football is a fire-breathing monster from Greek mythology that’s part lion, part goat, and part dragon…?

I think Dier is a good player and no where near as bad as people make out

I think he doesn't suit the system he has been asked to play. Playing so deep with no room to get recover, he gets done by agile wingers consistently

Im not saying he is a starting CB for a team challenging for the title but he is much better than people make out

Similar to Hojbjerg, he’s a decent player who if he went to Atletico Madrid would be a good fit, not sure if he’ll suit our new system but when people call him a ‘Fraud’ it’s embarrassing and says more about them than him.

ndombers is going to give big ange a lot to think about this preseason -- maybe even enough to keep him in the squad.

this would be a very VERY good thing (no matter how slowly he gets out of a car)

(and all your red Xs be damned)

I think most of us dream of him turning up fired up and becoming Zidane mkII would love it to happen. Unlikely though.
