We Spurs fans understandably romanticise our days days at WHL.

But the atmosphere before, during and after yesterday's match against Sheffield United (!) was as good as anything we've seen before.

It was amazing.

The fans. The players. The way the game played out. The pre-match build-up and particularly Ange contributed.

And, of course, the stadium, which was magnificent.

I wrote in the match thread that the trumpet-led rendition of "When The Spurs" was spine-tingling. I now can't wait to hear that again and urge any fans going to get in early to experience it.

This is what the stadium project was all about. Finally, the ducks are aligned.

I don’t mind either stadium. New one is really good but has been mostly viewing crap football which didn’t help, old one was fine but clearly at some point it needed upgrading. I am romantic about the old one and happy with the new one. No complaints from me.

This is the controversial opinion thread, not the sit-on-the-fence thread!

I was near the trumpet guy. That was amazing. I assume it's happening every home game and not just yesterday?

Hope so. They need to move it up the order to be the last item before the Prem anthem.

I'm going to email the club and tell them they must not drop him.

In terms of points ammassed and an encouraging style of football it has been a good start to the season, however it is early days, this group is still fragile and I fear we will be exposed defensivly against Woolwich and Liverpool.

Referring to other teams as 'scum' or any of the other semi-derogatory puns is cringe AF.

I don't think that referees exhibit bias.
Inept and inconsistent, perhaps
and unduly affected by the greater noise
from the Home crowd certainly.

However VAR is a mess and unduly affects the enjoyment
and spontaneous delight in the game.
It is precisely imprecise and subject to personal interpretation
though it pretends not to be.
I would be happy to go back to relying on the on-field referee's decisions.

The fact that we would have won on Sunday but for VAR
has no influence on my point of view.
