According the Independent, "The discovery followed testing of the playing squad after Saturday’s 2-2 home draw with Mansfield. Mansfield have been informed, as have previous opponents Plymouth and Oldham. The testing was paid for by Spurs as a precaution, with regular testing not mandatory in League Two.Orient had no duty to test their players before the game and we should be grateful they did.
I've no time for these 4th rate competitions, and if I were Levy I'd take the opportunity to forfeit the game and wish the O's good luck.
Are they taking part in the Audi cup next year? Now, when we finally lift a trophy after a 13 year wait, I’ll always wonder if it should be Leyton Orient’s triumph.
Technically you're right, but the O's need that TV money. And that's why there is this delay, imo.According the Independent, "The discovery followed testing of the playing squad after Saturday’s 2-2 home draw with Mansfield. The situation arises on the same day the UK government announced more stringent measure to control the resurgent virus, and means Spurs’ five-mile trip to east London for the Carabao Cup third round is highly unlikely to go ahead at Brisbane Road, and could be postponed."
It's a shame for Orient, but it's clear that they would be responsible for any postponement/cancellation.

Maybe it is a bluff or just maybe they can dredge up a team including some players who might just become infectious on the night. Then the ball is in our court. Is this a game we really want to play?
The big mystery is whether playing football spreads the virus. Orient players might have spread it to each other on a coach, their gym, or maybe some players were meeting socially.
The football league say they do not routinely test as they don't think playing is a big risk, and tbf I think there has only been 1 documented case in the world of corona definitely spreading outside.
But if a player is infectious, they'd be shedding an immense amount of virus running about and shouting. and common sense tells us this is not someone you'd want to stand too near, even outside, let alone have any physical contact with. That is not very scientific but our scientists are still arguing how colds and flu spread so we are not going to get a clear cut answer to this any time soon.
