has openly expressed his desire to play at the top level after firing Posh to League One play-off success and is expected to leave London Road when he returns from holiday.
And a statement on the club's official website read: "The football club can confirm that a bid has been accepted from a Premier League club for Craig Mackail-Smith, but no decision will be made until he returns from holiday."
Newly-promoted Norwich and QPR have both been linked with the Scotland international, while relegated duo Birmingham and West Ham were also believed to be in the frame.
Peterborough chairmain Darragh MacAnthony told BBC Sport that interest in the striker was apparent: "At the moment there is anything between eight and 11 clubs involved.
"We've got two concrete offers and when you get into an auction you always try and push those offers up."

Very unlikely. But it could be literally any team in the bottom half, plus the three promoted sides.

Quickly removed I guess.

Would be a bit surprised with that, seeing as Beckford hasn't been a massive success for them after signing from a similar position but with an even better reputation because of his FA Cup exploits.

I wouldn't count it out. Everton have very little money, and they need an extra striker given how much Saha spends on the sidelines.

Everton's financial position is terrible. They've been looking for a new owner for donkey's years. Apparently they may even cash in on Rodwell this summer

Norwich put in an offer in January and showed interest for the rest of the season. When I went to watch Norwich play there was a lot of talk about their fans wanting him believing he'd fit their style well.
