Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini has been thrown into the spotlight at the midway point of his club's chaotic 2022/23 season. Antonio Conte's recent gallbladder surgery saw him take time away from the dugout, leaving Stellini in charge of a 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

I'm fully behind him... while he's winning.
It makes you wonder if Conte's presence makes players nervous! Against City, the players played like the shackles are off and they let their instincts take over. Not saying Conte's a poor manager (duh, obviously), but maybe the wrong fit for us?

I don't think that's how we played against city, we just know how to play against City (mostly at home, mind you), we've become quite good at it over the years. Even that 4-2 beating they gave us at their place, we were beating them 0-2 at HT. We have enjoyed success against City under vityually all of our managers and coaches since Pochetino's early seasons I think, even Nuno got the win against them. Mason was the exception, but he had less than a week of work before the match and he clearly took some very bad decisions.

We all keep looking for reasons to undermind Conte's job, even I have done it (I probably have been one of the worst). We need to stop that, our failures aren't his fault, they are mainly Levy/Enic's, combined with this recent streak of injuries to some of our main and most important players.
