Although, reading the Top Ten, we actually have two: The Ginger Pele (for the lost art of trying your bloody best) and Dimitar 'the epitome of footballing cool' Berbatov.
And then reading the top comment beneath it, we actually have another two who could fit the Doherty criteria (Freund and Teemu), whereas I would say that my 'too cool for school' choice would be the one and only Steeeeeeeed.
So, who's your Tottenham cult hero and why?
P.S. The line about Doherty that "he could play in both central defence or as a striker... and joyfully didn't appear to change his style in any way to account for the nuances of these very different roles" absolutely slayed me.
