Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has penned an open letter to supporters on the final day of the Premier League season.
Four days after the club reached the Champions League Final for the first time in their history, Spurs must see off a faint challenge for rivals Arsenal to secure their spot in next season's competition.
Spurs finish the season in their new stadium, having finally moved in on April 3 after initial hopes of a summer 2018 date, and Levy describes the season as having "moments we could only dream of that have now become reality."
Levy thanks manager Mauricio Pochettino, his backroom team and the playing squad for their efforts during a topsy-turvy campaign and looks ahead to June 1 final against Liverpool.

Here is the letter in full...

Dear Supporter,
What a journey it continues to be!
We are near the end of a season that will live long in our memories for so very many reasons. Moments we could only dream of that have now become reality.
We started the season back at Wembley while we overcame delays to our new home. A period that also saw us host a domestic cup game at Milton Keynes. Mauricio, his coaching staff and the players simply got on with the task in hand and were ultimate professionals. They have my total respect.
Six weeks ago we came home after a long and difficult journey. None of us will ever forget that emotional night here against Crystal Palace, when Premier League football returned to N17 as we opened the doors and turnstiles of our amazing new stadium.
Today we have our last Premier League match of the season and the opportunity to end our home campaign on a high with a win which could elevate us to third place in the Premier League.
Securing a top four spot to give us Champions League football for a fourth successive season is in itself something of which to be immensely proud.
But today is not our last game of the campaign. Heroic performances against Manchester City and Ajax have taken us to a Champions League Final.

Even before the incredible events of Wednesday night in Amsterdam, this campaign has been one of the most epic in the Club’s history.
I am delighted for Mauricio and the team – it is so well deserved and evidence of the truly amazing spirit we have within this squad. I hope they realise the total joy and exhilaration they have given us fans. We are so proud of them all.
To reach the final against Liverpool on 1 June is something we have all achieved together. Everyone contributes to a team – staff, players, management and fans. No one person can do this alone, it’s the strength of everyone pulling together in the same direction which brings success and I thank each and every one who is part of this team including the millions of our fans around the world.
We dare to dream and we want nothing more than to bring the Champions League Trophy to North London.
It’s been unbelievable and now it’s time to believe.
After all... To Dare is to Do.
COYS!

I find it hard to believe we have only been back here for 6 weeks, that first game seems ages ago.

This bit stood out to me

Let's see if he's willing to pull together with Poch's desires for the next stage.

The whole thing is still surreal to me!

I thought it was a backhanded slap/coded message to Poch via the media....

Yep. Levy is responding to Pochettino in the press. Absolutely that's what's happening. Without doubt.

Levy is hitting back. Because there's a war on at Spurs. Between Levy and Poch. They don't talk to each other, nor does the club have any kind of media strategy in place, you know. The two sides in this bitter war can't bear to be in each other's presence, so they speak to each other via the press. Because that's how high turnover businesses valued in the hundreds of millions of pounds behave - the management don't work together - they each do what they want and speak to each other via the press. Because multi-million pound businesses just wimble along and allow their senior staff to say what they like when they like and spend absolutely zero time, you know, discussing what is going to be said to the press. The guy who accompanies Poch to every single press conference is just a ligging idiot nephew.

And that's what this 'Chairman's message' really is. It's a counterattack by Levy against Poch's unvarnished brutal attacks on him viciously launched by Poch via the media. And so Levy decided that he in turn needed to launch a salvo of his own. Hence the Chairman's message.

And I reckon he knew this was coming, because he actually did a pre-emptive Chairman's message last year: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/may-article-import/2018/chairmans-message/

He's a smart cookie, Levy, because he even printed that message in the last matchday programme of the season too.

So smart is he that he's actually done the same thing every year.

He did it 2017: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news-archive-1/chairmans-message/

And 2016: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/may-article-import/2016/chairmans-message/

And 2015: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news-archive-1/chairmans-message-1/

He's so clever that he even sent a Chairman's message countering Poch back in 2014 before Poch had even been appointed manager (the link isn't there anymore, but there's an article on the Standard's website, ironically enough, that mentions it).

Now, my sincere apologies for the acid tone, but some of the stuff being posted about the management using the press to push agenda and how these agenda are separate and oppositional is bordering on tinfoil hat territory.

How about you give the man a chance to change the way he's been running the club over the past 18 years. This project has been delivered. After the final on June 1st Poch has already said he will sit down with the chairman and discuss the next chapter of the club's development. I have no idea how anyone can be so abusive towards the chairman after our incredible new stadium and our world class training facility have already been delivered after 18 hard years of work and stress, our terrific young squad of players and our world class young manager are still on a massive high, like the rest of us, and you call him a 'poxy little runt'. Unbelievable.
