People who disagree with me. Care to elaborate?

Do you think +45m is not enough? Do you think we could get more? Or dont you think we could find someone who is better?

He has not been +45m good for us this season.

It doesn't matter, we don't sell our best players as it sends out the wrong message to the squad and we certainly don't need the money.

Who are we going to get as a replacement?

There's probably not another LB under £45m available that would do a job as good as or better than Rose. Easy as.

Mayb not. Surely could evolve to be better. And we already have Davies. +45m is alot of money for Rose imo.

Just gonna throw some names out, some more relevant than others.

Raphaël Guerreiro
Jonas Hector
Juan Bernat
Ricardo Rodriguez
Luke Shaw
Jose Gaya
Layvin Kurzawa
Jetro Wilhems
Wendell
That guy from Monaco, Mendy or something

Also lots of talent out there like Murru, Kongolo etc

I don't see why we'd weaken ourselves for money we don't even need to spend it on a player who has no guarantees of signing for Spurs and at the same time has no guarantees of progressing further than Danny Rose?

1) We are unlikely to get the majority of this list without paying huge money

2) The majority of them aren't as good as Rose. He's already settled, knows the team, the system, Poch, he's brilliant for us and there's absolutely no reason to get rid of him.
Even if we do get someone like Gaya, it's a huge gamble because we don't know how he'll settle here. And right now he's nowhere as good as Rose. Might be in a few years but that's too much to wait.
Not to mention the wrong message of selling first team players again, being a feeder club to the big ones, etc.

Personally the only player in this list I might swap Rose for is Guerreiro - and we have no chance of getting him from Dortmund.
I'll easily refuse 45m for Rose. The money isn't as helpful for us as the player.

My favourite Spurs player right now. And for that he's priceless. Great attitude and backs it up with consistent performances. Integral to how we play. Would be a huge gamble to attempt to replace him.

why sell any player that performs at the level Danny does and loves the club and has said on multiple occasions he wants to spend the rest of his career at spurs? Madness.

We shouldn't sell Rose.

What we should be doing, and this is coming from somebody who sees qualities in both, is replacing Trippier/Davies with players more akin to Walker and Rose - whether that is KWP from the academy or new signings, it would allow us to rotate/rest without changing our style...

What I like about Rose, apart from his great LB performances, are his pantomime-esque falls and tumbles.

If he plays for a foul he always looks as if he's a complete rag doll.

Luke Shaw is certainly not better than Danny Rose at the present time lol.

Don't know any of the others on list, but I do know Rose is better than all of them as well :p

Spectacular today his goal showed so much class from him, from the excellent dummy, the fantastic inward run and the powerful swerving shot right inside the near post to beat the keeper. Then there was the rest of his performance were he was class all over, very well played Danny

Wonderful player... a firm favourite and not just that, someone who actually won the fans round through both application and ability, has done his talking on the pitch and proved to everyone what a great player he is.

I was having a dispute with a Chavsea fan a few days ago. He said Rose is nowhere near the calibre of Ashley Cole when he was at those fly-by-nights. I hope he was watching Danny's performance today.

Whatever his valuation was before the game, he must have added 10 million pounds to it by today's display.

In fairness, Cole was a fantastic player. He was still top class in his last season for Chelsea at, what, 33 or 34? I don't feel the slightest disloyal in saying that Cole was a more cultured footballer than Rose, but Rose has a tenacity, an attitude, that Cole never had. I'd rather have Rose, but it's a tight call. Rose will score more goals than Cole, and he's way better in the air (in particular, Cole was a liability defending at the back post). He's better in the air than Davies, who must be a good 4 inches taller. Thinking about it, he's better in the air than Verts. And Dawson's the only player we've ever had who was better at last ditch, body on the line tackles and interceptions.
