Ex-Tottenham striker Darren Bent has revealed a player collapsed in training under former manager Juande Ramos. The Spanish coach spent a short but eventful time in charge of Spurs between 2007 and 2008.

Ramos inspired the north London club to League Cup glory – their only major trophy since the turn of the century.

And yet he's the one showing United's kids how it's done. (y)
Hudds was awesome in his heyday.
He could put a 40 yard pass on a 10 pence.
Him being a coach is certainly a case of do as I say, not as I did off the pitch

Am I the only one to get annoyed by comments along the lines of - "Ramos inspired the north London club to League Cup glory" ?
For me, that was Martin Jol's team and I like to think the players won it for him. I don't think Ramos deserves much credit for that trophy, and the following season is probably a truer reflection of Ramos' contribution.

Loved Thudd, thought he had the lot. only that bit extra mobility stopped him being world class.
Array of passes and ball striking with both feet was second to none.

The Ramos ban on certain foods seemed extreme

Darren Bent... What a pointless signing he was. Got Berbatov, Keane and Defoe? I know, let's splurge £18m on another striker who had one good season at Charlton.

I don’t mind Andy.G or Cundy, they also have Jeff Stelling, Ally McCoist and a few others.

But Bent speaks so so quickly I can’t understand what he’s saying and most of what he for say is drivel.
I disagree, but I won't leave you a disagree.

Paul Hawksby is the crown jewel of talksport. Durham is also good on match days. You can keep the rest though as far as I'm concerned.

Fair point about the league cup, but although it’s easy to say Ramos was a disaster I think he was thrown under the bus with what happened that summer.
