Good news if true, but I do wonder where he'll fit in. Then again, it could help his development, not being forced to play every game, regardless of injury/fatigue/form. A fit and motivated Dele is a real asset.

If this works and we get the Dele of a few years ago back then all the Jose haters will have to go back to talking about KDB and Salah for a bit.

How many examples are there of a player coming back from Dele’s trajectory?

Hope he can stay and turn it around especially if we can't get a midfield replacement. The only thing that I can't help feeling is how good the team has started looked without him in the squad

We heard similar things before the last Europa League game - he didn’t impress and was dropped for the next two games.

I really want Dele to turn it around, but I’m not getting my hopes up just yet.

So, Jose creates a little bit of shit at every club he's been at...and that's fine btw.

But it would be so funny if he creates some shit at Spurs and literally every player goes, "Yeah, fair enough I'll knuckle down and work harder".

Jose will be thinking, "Never saw that one coming; perhaps they are too nice".

I'm not so sure that the reference to "professionalism" is to Dele "working harder," but to Dele continuing to train and not kicking up a fuss even though we are shopping him around and leaving him out of matches so he doesn't become injured and unsaleable. He is being "professional" by continuing to do his job and by not taking these business decisions personally.

The problem is that for Ndombs the response needs to be ‘get fitter, work harder’ while for Dele it’s ‘be a different footballer’. Not an easy ask.
Dele is smart and can adapt. I'm sure of it. If his will is there. Sounds like that's returning.

As Rebrab's ITK stated earlier, loan's have more money up front this year, so this could be what pushes us over the line for Skriniar, who would be more pivotal to our Squad right now than Dele.

Plus we might only lose him for a year, and the change of scenery could help his game kick back into life again. Alternatively, his value goes way up and we can charge PSG silly money next year for him. All positives for me.

I’d be interested to see some examples of this. As Eric Dier said to Dele, “name names.“

Dude, you can go in to the NDombele and Dele threads to see who is saying sell them. Plenty of people were saying get rid off NDombele, and how they can't believe the scouting team got it so wrong with him.

But was it the same people?

Not going to get much of a replacement with that £1.5m loan fee are we. If he’s being professional and willing to try fight for a place in squad I’ve no idea why anyone would want him gone. Squad is stronger with him in it than a vacant space, we’re not going to bring in Vinícius, a CB and also another attacking midfielder in the next 4 days.

We’re a squad that has been improved and is heading in right direction, he deserves at least until January to try and move himself ahead of a couple of other players (who have also been poor) in the pecking order.
