He moves around a lot so not surprised at the running stats. It's aimless though.

Slow and sloppy in possession. Does a nutmeg every now and then though so it's all good.

He ran the most on the pitch tonight apparently
To be honest, it hardly takes much. One of the midfielders is always going to run the most and considering Hojbjerg mostly sits, it's always gunna be one of the other midfielders who puts the most in. Then remember Dele got 90 mins, Winks didn't.

I'm not saying he's lazy as I do think it's slightly unfair when people say that. However, the problem is mostly when he gets the ball, he often plays with a lack of urgency or the opposite and he lacks composure. Of course he has that quality to do certain things on the pitch but I just don't think he has that fire in his belly when on the ball.

The laughing with Grealish was inexcusable, for 90 mins your enemies not buddies who you can share a joke with, notice how Grealish didn't give it back as much, he just focused on his game. This is Dele's issue. Focus.

He needs to be laser-eyed in his approach but he spends a lot of time unfocused. I believe he is a good kid with a good heart and is someone who just wants to enjoy themselves but unfortunately we are not in a period in which we can afford these players right now, we need players who focus for 90+ minutes and are serious in their approach. Ndombele is the same.

Haven't both Jose and poch commented on his attitude? Not being focused on the pitch ect?
The idea that he was bad under Jose is also laughable, he dropped under Poch before having a bounce under Jose

One problem, him and Son want to do the same thing and take the same space

The idea that its N'Dombele keeping him out is just wrong. Its Son because Alli isn't good enough to play a creative role like Eriksen.

I don't wanna hear stuff like he ran the most when he was having full blown convos and banter on the pitch with his mate Grealish, get out of here with that shit

Frankly he was just useless against Villa, Mason pumped his ego up with his ridiculous comments about him being MOTM against Wolves when he was ok at best against a team that had checked out. Think we had more chance of selling this show pony when he was at the back of the bench, what he’s delivering won’t be exciting any potential buyers.

I just don't think he wants it enough. This isn't a phase now, he'll drift in and out for the rest of his career and I want a player who is going to be hungry and ready to prove themselves.

Yep. Repeatedly said he will never amount to anything. It's obvious. He's 25, he doesn't have the hunger or desire. Fancy showboating waster.

That some fans still rate him.....haha

I'd love nothing more than to see Dele back to what he used to do, however is there was a situation where selling Winks, Dele and let's say Lamela as an example but selling 3 meant we raised the money to buy one Jack Grealish, I'd bite your fucking hand off.

If only football was just about who ran the most.

What will it take for you to finally admit he isn't very good?

It's a big part of working hard though isnt it? Earning the right to play. Which Dele is constantly accused of not doing. The evidence to the contrary is pointed out and the goalposts then move to something else. It's kinda weird.

I get it, you don't think he's very good. I think otherwise.

it's not aimless he's statistically one of our best pressers

I like Dele, for a time he was class for us and I think that was cos the system really suited him. He scored a lot of great goals and has clearly talent.

Ultimately I don't care whether people think he is or isn't good enough for Spurs I just think it's time to part ways regardless and honestly, whilst we're at it, if it's possible and deals are good, I would strongly consider selling Kane and Son too along with other more obvious options (Winks, Aurier, Dier, Davies, Doherty etc).

IMO this squad needs "blowing up". Anyone that has been here for a significant number of years like Dele, Son, Kane etc needs a fresh start and the club does too.

Before I get hammered, I'm not saying this cos I think any of them aren't good enough I just really think this squad is so unbelievably stale. There's a mental fog hanging over everyone. We need new players, new manager and we just need to reset things.

The issue of course is that Levy will struggle to get deals that he feels are sufficient when in truth he just needs to sell for the best he can get and cut his losses.

Im actually coming around to this thinking. Hard reset on the squad. Get fresh and hungry players in.

Far easier said than done though, particularly in this financial climate. Who the fuck is going to offer Winks £80k a week or whatever we've got him on?

Like a lot of the players he has regressed. At the weekend he worked hard but not last night. A lack of match fitness perhaps? Maybe a more experienced manager sticks him on the bench.
