Can’t see Jose playing him as he has criticised him so much. It’s different with Ndombele as he was not fitting in before JM came and so he can claim being the key to getting our most expensive purchase playing. Dele on the other hand has hit great heights in the past and Jose has no kudos to gain here

Should've been in the squad today. He is the gambit that could've made something happen as a sub.
Has to earn his way first. I'm sure when he is consistently putting in the effort in training he'll get opportunities to be in the squad/team.

Don’t think Jose really wanted to make anything happen as a sub or he would have brought on Bale.

We have a packed December schedule and Dele will get the chance to show Jose that he can be called upon to help the team. I can definitely see Dele playing against LASK, Antwerp, Palace, maybe Leicester and Stoke in the Carabao Cup.

Hmm. I think Jose likes a settled squad and for him that means Sissoko and Hojbjerg as the two and N'Dombele or GLC starting at #10 with the other coming in part way through for the other. If we had another defensive #8 then that would be the fifth trusted midfielder (Winks shit the bed here vs West Ham.

I agree with Matty above. If GLC or N'Dombele start getting trusted alongside Hojbjerg (which given N'Dombele got a chance vs Ludogorets isn't off the table) then Dele will find himself in line for more football. If not then I think we are more likely to see him allowed to leave this summer as a means of recouping some cash in order to fill in the remaining gaps in our squad.

If he cant get into the starting 11 today then it's time he leaves. Players have a short shelf life. Watching this game and thinking surely he could have played in place of Bale or GLC.

think a loan would be better, needs to build his value up again as i imagine his stock has fallen below the amount we'd be prepared to sell for.

I said he was a waste of space on this thread before the season. Looks like i was right. Fuck him off in January so he carry on his modelling and Xbox career somewhere else.

As a footballer at this club and especially with this manager, he's done.

Yeah would make sense. He still had 3 1/2 years on his contract so surely better to send him somewhere that suits him for the 2nd half of the season to build his value back up.

Even in this crazy season he can't get into the league squad, let alone onto the pitch, so we should be fine without him even if we do get injuries.

I wonder if the positional move forward prevented him from becoming the player he could be. Only his touch and invention were valued in the AM3. So he's become this peripheral, crafty, late arriving player. But perhaps if he'd been forced to take responsibility for dictating the play, as Mason did from his first match under Poch, and to use his athleticism, he'd be more of a presence outside of his best moments.

So much vitriol for a player who has done so much for the club, it's pathetic to read sometimes.

I think Brighton would be a decent fit for him on loan next month. They play good football but desperately need someone with end product in and around the box.

If he found a bit of form out on loan the way he did when Jose first came in, he could rack up loads of goals and assists in that side, which would obviously be very good for all parties involved.
