I honestly think he does care, he does put the effort in but he just had a 2 year purple patch and peaked. Also the game has moved on from what his main skill set is. Running off the ball and arriving into the box to score. Those players don't exist anymore

The drop-off has been astonishing really. He's gone from a near-world class talent, to a guy who doesn't just look shit - he barely looks like a footballer. He has truly disappeared.

Not joking when I say this but I feel he should genuinely consider retirement. There’s barely anything there that a pro footballer needs let along a top one.
Weirdly agree, I don’t think he enjoys football anymore much prefers the celeb lifestyle. Such a shame.

His colourful hair is a pretty accurate reflection of his life now, a bit of a mess and a bit of a joke.

Poor guy.

Poch called it over 3 years ago….
Poch called the painful rebuild but I don’t think he meant dele. Poch said dele compared to Ronaldinho and is one of the most talented players he’s coached.

Mabye Dele was but his brother who we seem to have had for the last 3 years is a crock of shit and an arrogant dickhead.

Get rid. He’s not a footballer anymore.

Because he "made it", got a big contract, got into celebrity life, got a celeb girlfriend, got into fashion, forgot he was a footballer, doesn't care because even his next contract at his next club will be 80k+ per year
Beckham did all of those things but not once did he stop giving 100% or go backwards.

I think he has struggled to adapt and players like Eriksen and Dembele made it easier for him to shine.

Look. He poor, I mean REALLY poor.

And we do absolutely somehow need to move him on. He's lost the cheeky little spark that made him the Young Player of The Year.

He is not, I repeat NOT good enough. That is without question anymore.

But do we really need to get personal, throw insults his way & deride him just because he's got weird hair etc?

None of us are perfect, so who are we to judge? Judge what he does on the pitch, or what he doesn't do on the pitch.

I'm not going to attempt to make excuses for him turning to shit. He's blatantly lost focus. Would we (perhaps) lose fucus in life if 2 guys broke into our houses, punched us in the face & rob us at knifepoint? All of that after having a far from pleasant childhood?

Come on SC. You're better than what you're showing. Call him crap on the pitch. Accuse him off bring lazy & disinterested.

But don't get personal. What is it they say. Play the ball, not the man!

He needs to leave for his own good, if he had any desire to have any sort of career he needs to leave.

Genuine question though, where does he go? Who would take him on his wages with a transfer fee? How low would he drop in the league?

People seem to mention Newcastle for every player in this country who needs a move but I don't think he'd go there.

And I don't see other clubs being able to pay his wages or a fee.

I keep thinking he would do well for a Fulham if they go up. I would have said Villa before Gerrard going there, Watford perhaps? id say 15m but is worth a punt on him.

Maybe he can run the official Spurs Twitch account.

On a more serious note. I do believe clubs like Crystal Palace and maybe Everton would at the very least explore the option of signing Dele, if they were offered.

Lets get on the phone to the Geordie and shift him and Doherty to them, I'd throw in Ndombele if i taught they'd pay what Levy wanted and that the useless fecker would go there. Would also see if they'd take Rodon too.

what incentive does he have to put in a shift? He gets ridiculous amounts of cash no matter how he plays, he gets to play on his x-box, he gets his tattoos, he gets his cars, he gets his holidays, he gets social media attention, he gets anything he wants - the only thing in the background ruining his career is him
I hope you're right in a way. There'd be a way back for him albeit not at Spurs.

I wonder if he’s got some underlying physical condition we don’t know about. He said a couple of years ago that his body couldn’t do the same things as when he was 19-20. A 23 year old shouldn’t be talking like that. That’s something a player in their mid-30’s might say. He’s had some injuries but nothing that should’ve affected him this much. I also think he’s messed up his physical development on top of that. All the work we see him doing is gym work and endurance training, trying to put muscle on and build his engine. But that’s not what he needs. At his best he was lithe, and athletic and sharp and nimble. Now he’s laboured and so, so slow in everything his does. It’s painful watching him move at times. Can talk about his mentality and his celebrity lifestyle but I think something has gone badly wrong in his physical development.
