Full article:

Juventus thought about it, Inter tried it, Lazio thought about it, as well as Brighton and even Manchester City. But Destiny Udogie's future will not be with any of these teams. Last details to be settled with Udinese, who had no intention of depriving themselves of their 2002-class external player, but in the end, after a long courtship, decided to say yes to the proposal of Tottenham, the most Italian of the Premier League teams on the market. And after Perisic, Kulusevski, Bentancur and Romero, now Fabio Paratici is ready to give Antonio Conte a jewel like the former Verona.

An arrow for Spurs, who have often fished in Serie A in the last year since Paratici's arrival in management. The contacts for Udogie have been going on for over a month, on and off, given the very high demands of the Pozzo family for their latest jewel. In these hours, the verbal agreement between the clubs, for a total sum of 25 million euros between fixed part and bonuses, with in addition for the Friulians the possibility to keep Udogie on loan for another year. Tottenham buy him now, but will leave him in Friuli to let him grow for another season: a move to anticipate the competition, on a player that will be talked about for a long time.

Looks a top prospect. Would like him now but I guess he won’t get much playing time ahead of Perisic.

Let’s see how Sessegnon copes with the added pressure that he needs to make this season count.

This would make a ton of sense. Perisic will be our main LWB this year, next year he and Udogie will rotate. If it happens, great succession planning.

Really smart signing.

This is the upside to making free signings such as Perisic and co as it also allows the club to sign players they really like but maybe are not quite ready yet with that 150m+.

Rather than splash that money here there and everywhere, you can see that there's a real strategy behind it.

If you look at Juventus' signings when Conte and FP were there, there's some similarities.

Buying a lwb and loaning them back to their club, is very much like making love to a beautiful woman...

Let’s wait to get some proper ITK on this one before we start getting over excited, eh!?
Maybe, but some deals just feel like goers based off media reports and this is one of them. Looks like we are moving pretty fast.

Top talent , great succession planning for phasing out Perisic over the next few seasons and having Udioge and Sess. Also makes me think conte could be gearing up to be with us for a good few years with this type of signing.
