Awesome name for one! What song potentials at the Lane?

Tottenham look all but set to complete the signing of Dynamo Kiev forward Dieumerci Mbokani in January, according to the Metro.

The Congolese goal-scorer is unhappy in Russia and has reportedly admitted that he wants to leave Kiev as soon as possible, despite only signing for the club in the summer.
Andre Villas-Boas was keen on bringing Mbokani to White Hart Lane in the most recent transfer window, but the 27-year-old opted for a move to the Ukraine instead, only to now completely reverse his decision due to the selection policy in place at his new club.

"I came to Kiev to play many matches, but because of the rotation policy of Oleg Blokhin, this has not happened," said the want-away striker.

"If things do not change soon I will leave – a big club in England is after me."
The door now appears to have been left wide open for Spurs to resume their pursuit of the former Anderlecht star, with no other Premier League club having publicly registered an interest in signing him.
It is believed that Kiev would rather keep hold of Mbokani if possible, but are open to selling him for £6million if he asks to leave.

Villas-Boas is desperate to add to his strike force in January, and has reportedly been monitoring the 6ft 1in forward for the past 18 months.

Seems Willianesque transfer - a microcosm.

I'm always a bit sceptical about these players we were supposed to be wanting to bring in but failed because they opted to go to other clubs. Now granted there are more famous, more successful and richer clubs where you can see players opting for or where their clubs will take a bigger offer, but I think a lot of the links where we supposedly lose out to clubs in lesser leagues are more a question of we may have made an enquiry at best as maybe an option if we didn't get a number of preferred players
I actually don't recall any mention of our having any interest in the player this summer, but I'm sure if we had we could have managed a deal ahead of Dynamo Kiev

Hmmm... A big hit in the Belgian league but struggled in France and Russia. At 27, it's doubtful if he can make the grade in the EPL...

Not sure he'd get that much match time with who we've got here either.
