Manchester United are reportedly willing to make a huge loss on Jadon Sancho, with Tottenham interested in signing him this summer.
Erik ten Hag won’t ‘force out’ the 23-year-old and is happy for him to stay and fight for his place. But, if Tottenham offer £45m, he is also willing to let him leave.

I'd rather give Gil a proper chance and put whatever money saved into more important areas.

How much of this is legit? Sancho doesn't sound like what we're after this summer at all.
I guess he does fit the profile of wide player that Ange likes so if we moved Kulu to number 8 we could spend the money earmarked for Maddison on Sancho instead.

However he must be on crazy wages, surely? (250k according to Google). Unless Man Utd are willing to subsidise his wages or he's willing to take a decent sized pay cut, it doesn't make sense. Would Utd even sell to us anyway?

They might look for a swop plus cash for Kane?

"A huge loss they say" We've had a few of those. At least they will get some money back unlike Ndombele!

I think it would be a huge mistake to go anywhere near him. Harvey Barnes would be cheaper and has been proved to be more productive in the PL.

IIRC Frazier Campbell was the last Man U player to join us.

We don't buy United players.

He was happy join us before he went to Dortmund, but city refused to sell him to us, but I’d doubt we’d take on that salary, saying that, if we shift Lo Celso and N’Dombele, that would free up that kind of money.

No way we'd pay him anywhere near what he's on, especially since he's been underwhelming to say the least. I wouldn't go anywhere near him right now.

I'm not convinced he's even that good. He's very inconsistent and doesn't track back

one of the ITKs (I can’t remember who, perhaps @Trix) recently implied that his wage demands were unrealistic back then and that, actually, we pulled the plug rather than city refusing to sell him. It sort of makes sense because I don’t think levy’s ego would let him roll over for city (quite rightly too!) - if they refused to sell him while he genuinely was eager to come we would have told them to bugger off for Walker, I’m sure.

tagged @Trix in case I’m remembering/interpreting that wrong and/or would prefer this post be deleted.

It was Wayne Burnett that told me. I didn’t post that at the time.
