It doesn't sound a lot, but it means the Wembley pitch is over 400 square yards bigger. That's a lot when you try to compress the play and squeeze the opposition like we do.
It's 40 m^2 per outfield player. That's a box about 6m x 6m. Extra.A penalty area is 650 square yards. 400 sq yds really isn't that much.
It's a particularly good answer to the problem of not having enough pace in your team.Pace seems to be the answer to every problem
Ah, gotcha. So because it's "often used in football" that make is correct? I would say it makes those that "use it" look very stupid. Its just a saying/phrase often used when talking about football, I thought any football fan would appreciate this.
Perhaps stop being so pedantic and chill out?
I say we don't change it and get used to it. It will only help us in neutral games like Saturday.
As for the Wembley pace issue I think it's more to do with Davies at left back and upfront rather than centre back. Could be a coincidence but I noticed the only game Rose started at Wembley this season was the CSKA game. When we played Davies our record was played 3 lost 2 drawn 1 and that was Gent. I'm not saying Davies is a bad player, but I think he is too slow for Wembley as we like to play quite high and dominate possession.
I think it's harder for us to impose our pressing game on the opposition and it's easier for us to get done on the counter at Wembley. You can see the difference every time we play.
I think someone like Sessegnon with some pace would help us cover the pitch better. Also I think we need some pace upfront to use the pitch to our advantage. I don't think Son alone is enough, we could do with someone who can run in behind, is good on the counter and has end product too.
It's a commonly-used and commonly-understood phrase in sports. We're on a football forum. If we're being pedantic, I'd definitely take a look at your grammar and punctuation.Ah, gotcha. So because it's "often used in football" that make is correct? I would say it makes those that "use it" look very stupid.
He most certainly does not. He was supposed to be soooooo good last summer, he would walk in and cover at least two CB spots in the squad. (I'm paraphrasing a little). He has showed that his development is slowed down a bit and he hasn't even played one minute of PL footie this season. If he hasn't even seen PL action now, how would he all of the sudden be ready in 4 months (start of next season)?Cameron Carter Vickers says 'Hello'.
In all my time I've been on this site we've never been considered to have enough pace. It's a particularly good answer to the problem of not having enough pace in your team.
