I think most fans support goal line technology clearing up some controversial calls, but then Rio Ferdinand pipes in with some idiocy - see below:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/goal-line-technology-rio-ferdinand-says-2122515
Rio Ferdinand says he is AGAINST goal-line technology and admits he doesn't like change in football

“Tottenham scored a goal against us once – it more or less hit the net – but it wasn’t given. That happens sometimes and you take it on the chin. People are too quick to try to spice up the game. I say leave it as it is.”
Perhaps he needs to actually take one on the chin before spouting off?.... No SAF this season, so time will tell on calls involving ManU...
But I digress, what do you think regarding the impact of goal line technology on the game (and talking points) as we know it?

Love to hear Rios attitude to goal line technology if a goal isn't given to Utd in a crucial match and it costs them a trophy of a plqce in the CL

Next he'll be saying they should just remove drug testing from football. Doesn't matter if you miss one, the drug testers should just 'take it on the chin' and take your word that you're drug free...

I wonder if it was United who had 'scored', would he have gone with technology? Most certainly.

Has this been used since it's introduction this season?

I believe in one of the early Chav games there was a close to being over the line shot, which they knew had not crossed the line as the buzzer (or whatever) did not go off.

It's not a thing where it has to be stopped and reviewed, it buzzes if it's a goal/crosses the line or does nothing if it's not.

If that had happened to manUre, the goal line tech would have been installed by the next match,.... to be sure!! :mask:

But of course, knowing you cannot surround and bully a camera, maybe not... :playful:

How is goal line technology spicing up the game?

I could have let him say the pass back rule spiced up the game, but what the man said is just arse.

It's good that people aren't picking up on it. It should just be there in the background, barely noticed but keeping things fair. Like Batman or some shit.
