28-year old Ivorian international Arouna Kone and 24-year old Colombian international Dorlan Pabon may be on their way to White Hart Lane this summer. The striker and midfielder have been tracked by Tottenham, but Harry Redknapp is waiting to see if he will be playing in the Champion’s league next season before he enters the transfer market.
Pabon is a creative and goalscoring midfielder currently playing for Atletico Nacional He is being courted by a number of clubs in Europe, including Malaga, Marseille and Roma, according to Talksport. He had a fantastic season with Nacional and has scored 29 goals for the club in just 65 games. His modest price tag of just £7 million is another attraction.
Arouna Kone is even cheaper. He is available on a free transfer from Spanish club Sevilla. The striker has just completed a season at another Spanish side, Levante, where his 15 goals helped them to achieve 6th in La Liga and a place in the Europa league. Levante are keen to take the player on, but so are Athletico Madrid, Stoke City and Tottenham, reports The Mirror. Apparently, Redknapp has asked the striker to wait until next week, when Spurs will know which of the European competitions they will be in.
