He is very highly rated in Italy and is considered to buffon's replacement for Italy, I would have thought Inter would rather sell Cesar

Given that Cesar's not at their pre-season training camp, I'd say I agree with this. We've got to be interested in him though - surely? Only 32 (well, 33 at the start of the season) and certainly amongst the best in the world.

Seems your right that Inter want to sell Cesar, Maicon and etc. to get some cheaper younger blood in, but it seems that Emiliano is still at Palermo, so this transfer could be still possible, so maybe worth a try
