He hasn't done that well at Madrid was in decline at Arsenal and hardly great at City soI don't think he's the answer.

He needs motivating. Fell out with Wenger, never got on with Mancini. Has done OK at Real, Mourinho seems to like him.

Harry has a good track record of working with complex African players like Kanu and Diarra.

I really think Harry would get the best out of him and he certainly knows where the goal is. He's also a cut above what we already have and can play up front on his own so I think we could get him in then he would certainly add something to the squad.

Remember the headers he scored against us v Madrid?

Imagine having that every week with crosses from Bale and Lennon? Maybe he isn't as good as he used to be but doesnt mean he wont be back to his best again...he'll definitely scored alot more than ur current strikers..

Also he ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate infront of the scum! =D

And the goal he scored when he came off the bench in the League Cup 5-1?

Get him motivated and the guy is absolute gold. Get him H and D please.

Completly agree, cant see what everyone is getting so excited about him let alone call him a marquee signing .
Cant see Luka doin cartwheels if he is our top signing this summer. Lets face it City dont want him n Arsenal didnt want him , and we wanna pass these clubs next season !?!

He is a money grabber, was great at the scum until he got his pay rise then didn't care. Never really did at citeh and has been very average at madrid, hence why they aren't signing him. Although he technically has all the attributes we need, tall, quick, powerful, good in the air, his attitude sucks and even if 'arry can straighten him out that will only be for 1 season, then what ?

So many ifs, buts and maybes. I don't know about you but I'd much rather take a chance on him for around £18m and get someone with proven CL quality, than take a chance on someone like Rossi for £25m-£30m, and get someone who might take a season to adjust to the PL.

As much as some people on here like to deny it, Adebayor is a really, really good striker. He is exactly what we need, and he will slot right in to our best formation as the lone striker in front of VDV.

how is that different to the other 99% of the industry, or indeed, most of the western world.

I actually got the impression that he was a bit gutted that Arsenal decided to cash in - despite the fact that a massive wage hike was on offer.

One question I have. If he doesn't have us to play against, will he actually score?
