What we all want to hear of course, but signing for Man City is as close to a 'guarantee' to win things as its possible to get!

What did Liverpool win this season? What trophy did Manchester United win this season? Manchester City didn't feature in the FA Cup Final never mind win it, while beating Spurs in the League Cup Final was an easy one in the circumstances. Manchester City did the Premier League, though were easily beaten by Chelsea in the European Champions League Final despite having been formidable favourites to win. What was that term being used for months to describe City's intention of winning four trophies? What happened in that respect?

The trouble with picking out a club to go and win trophies with, is that there's no dead cert winner involved. Chelsea won the big European trophy, yet only days before these favourites for the trophy were left abject at Wembley after Leicester City out-thought and out-fought them to win the FA Cup. Next season, let's hope, Spurs will be a more serious proposition, but who's to say that the above-named clubs, and the likes of Everton, West Ham and Leicester don't win a trophy?

Nothing in football "is written". There's no dead cert. A club that doesn't focus in a season will pay the price. A club that takes itself seriously and uses its strengths wisely, is in with a shout.

This is all true. Rather than 'guaranteed to win a trophy', it's fair to say, City are the most likely to win trophies.
