It's going to be announced tomorrow.

Alot of injury concerns. Rio, Cahill, Parker doubtful. Could that mean Terry is going to be going?

Our midfield is shit. Does that mean Scholes will be back?

Should be interesting to see who Hodgson picks.

Like quite a few on here it seems, i've been pretty disillusioned with England for a while now. However i'd be much happier to see a young squad selected. With a few experienced heads selected for the spine of the team. It's been far too long since our players have been able to express themselves at this level so let's hope the pressure's off and the youth can go out and enjoy their football, take their chances and play with a bit of drive and passion.

I'm sick of watching our usual (now aging) lot go through the motions and never excite or get us anywhere and i think i speak for a lot of people when i say that. Hopefully Hodgson's got the initiative to start blooding players and building a squad for the next few years.

Personally I dont think England have a chance in this competition so as long as Roy sets them up to attack and leaves Terry at home I will be happy. I'd like to see Parker and Walker get the nod but both are carrying injuries. Beyond that I would be surprised to see us get past the quarters whoever plays and I will not be shocked if we go out in the group.

Hart

Walker/Richards
Cahill ( Lescott if Cahill is injured )
Jagielka
Cole

Ox
Carrick
Scholes
Gerrard
Young

Carroll

I reckon this eleven could give our first two opponents a game then Rooney is back. Obviously depends on injuries and Scholes being tempted out of retirement.

unfortunately from what roy was saying at the LMA awards, he is planning to pick a squad that includes players who have been there before but have failed, to give them a chance to have a nother go and prove themselves. i hope im wrong, but does that mean the possible following:

Hart

A.Cole
Ferdinand
Terry
Johnson

J.Cole
Gerrard
Lampard
One other midfielder

Rooney
Bent

I hope this is way off, but hasnt anyone learnt that these players cant cut it together for England!!

Like i say hope im wrong come the first game

Any leftfield picks? I'm wondering if the likes of Scott Sinclair, John Ruddy, Leon Osman could be in with a chance.

Sounds like Rio has been left out of the squad because of the Terry affair, harsh.

Apparently another shock about someone who is going. Why do England managers make it look so difficult??

Walker is injured but Richards still doesn't get called up

Glen Johnson and ____ for the RB slot.

Carroll instead of Crouch too?! Harsh on Rio, surely he'd rather have the spot than not and manage to resolve his differences with Terry in order to play for his country..?

Didn't Rio hint he would retire if Harry didn't get the job, seems the Terry incident has made his decision even easier.

Not that Rio was ever that good for England anyway, in fact Rio, Lampard and Gerrard should not be selected , they have had their chance and blown it.

Cannot see Scholes wanting to spend 2 weeks in Ukraine, would be very surprised if he went

I predict the squad will be full of talented "individuals" who will be hyped by the media but most of us will know what will happen. They will return after a failure and the media will then be on their back and Roy will be saying "changes will come over the next few years, it is time to bring in some younger faces and uncapped players" the first squad after the Euros, the usual candidates will be back. Rinse and repeat.

I would pick Lescott ahead of Cahil mainly because Lescott is better but also because Jagielka and Lescott played together at Everton.

29 in provisional squad yeah?
my Guess

gk Hart, Green, Carson, Stockdale.

d A cole, Johnson, Lescott, Terry(i wouldnt), Cahill, Baines, Jagielka, P Jones, Smalling.

m Parker, Lampard, Gerrard, A Young, Milner, A Johnson, Barry, Lennon(will get in). Walcott. Scholes

s Rooney, Wellbeck, Sturridge, Defoe, Zamora(he will pick him because had him at Fulham), Holt.

The 6 that will miss out barring injury imo would be Zamora, Stockdale, Smalling, Holt, Walcott, and a Johnson
