Actually a quite interesting debate, inspite of the farcical assertions of everyones least favourite Yiddo blogger.
a) Does England need it's own Clairefontaine?
b) Are we way behind the rest of the world (even the US)?
c) Is the current youth programme more about luck than judgement?
My view:
a) Yes. But it will be poorly run and achieve less than it's French counterpart, simply because it is run by ignorami (the FA).
b) Yes.
c) No. That's probably not fair. But it certainly should be better.
Oh, and for the record, that 'Matt' bloke who makes the 25th comment makes an excellent point... :wink:
