Been supporting since 2009. I remember very well what happened in 16/17.

That's what we tell to rivals when they mock us about it.

Save the excuses. lol

History lesson for you, find Gerry Francis first match from 94/95 v Villa, that’ll show you what bottling looking like. Or the home match v Utd in 01/02, extraordinary bottling.

Fair enough. A lot of people on here have been here for a lot longer and have seen some really dreadful Spurs teams. You have seen us at our best since the 80's and you are still whining. There is no pleasing these youngsters.

I believe we won 12 of our last 13 league games that season.

People using the “Spurs bottled it” that season were beyond moronic.

Nothing will take from my personal top1 Flamengo x América México in 2008 Libertadores.

Basically we won 4x2 in Mexico. 4 aways goals is a good advantage right ?

Then in Rio we lost 3x0.

That was bottling level 99.

If he had said 15-16 season, then there is a good argument, but 16/17 season, not a chance
In terms of league, we were never in the lead that year either, we also had our best ever PL season at that point, and had finished fifth the previous season.

If we really have a bottled season, I’d go with either 05/06 or 11/12. 12/13 too, all unravelling after AVB made his stupid ‘downward spiral’ comment,

We didn't bottle anything in 2005-06. We were in the top four from early December (a home win against Sunderland) to the last day of the season.

Absolutely. I would say there were seasons we were in great positions to finish top 4 and threw it away could legitimately be described as bottling it.

But the 2 seasons under Poch when we were 2nd and 3rd and potentially in the title race were not cases of bottling it.
