How can you tell what we have available to spend for the 2020-21 season ?
Have you seen the 2019/20 accounts ? ,no because the financial year is not finished yet, have you seen the 2020/21 forecast, no you haven't

I bet (in fact am certain) all you have done is taken the profit from the last 3 years published accounts (2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons) added back a little FFP adjustment (probably taken Swiss Ramble and totally misinterpreted it) and said that is what we have to spend, without understanding that all that shows is we met FFP in 2018-19, with a pre-tax surplus of some £400m for FFP purposes over those years.

If you don't know the 2019-20 numbers (which obviously have depreciation and wages from the acquisitions of Tanguy, LoCelso. Sessegnon and a significant Coronavirus effect and reduced Champions League income) and the 20-21 forecast you cannot know how much we have to spend, and even then it is not simply taking the profit of the prior years in question and saying that is what we have to spend, as players costs get capitalized

The facts were all published by Swiss ramble today pretty much the most respected source on football finance there is. You really should do some research before you make yourself look a fool AGAIN ?

And to add it was pretty obvious that I went - phew ? that it was a bit of fun with a rough guide which won’t be that far out. I wasn’t presenting my case to CAS ?

Yes they were, and he is very well respected.
However they were the profits from the season 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19, which you then misrepreesented as being the amount of monies we then would have available to spend 2 seasons later in 2020-21.
All he was showing was that clubs had met FFP in season 2018-19.

You then misrepresented that as being what we could spend in 2020-21, but what we we can spend in 2020-21 is the 2020-21 forecast (not known), 2019-20 (forecast) and 2018-19. So in other words you DO NOT KNOW, and neither does he, and he was in no way whatsoever suggesting he does. You just totally misundertsood and misrepresented what he posted. You have to remove 2 of the years in question, and factor in what has happened this season (acquisitions, coronavirus etc.) and then factor in what will happen in the season in question (2020-21) to know what we can spend this summer.
You even had the temerity to suggest that Chelsea cannot spend what people believe they can due to those same numbers, totally ignoring the fact they sold Hazard and had no acquisitions in 2019-20.

The amount you are able to spend before incurring FFP problems has no bearing on what money you have available to spend .
As we are not a club with a sugar daddy like Chelsea or one of the oil rich clubs as in Man City or one of the newly oil rich clubs as in Wolves
Everton / Sheff unt / possibly Newcastle . Then our books will have to be balanced and so it will be players who have run their contract down or players in the final year of their contract and doubt it very much we will be spending if we do it would be an unforeseen bonus .

You really are a prick. He covered the whole top 6 and ours was the highest by miles. It was a light hearted post to show we have a lot of leeway with FFP as everyone would expect. Stop Analysing it like it was a presentation to CAS ?

Sorry.
Do you want me to totally show you up and post your twitter feed and the source data you referenced.
Someone referenced it to me after they stopped laughing.

He posted the profits for season 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 and even said this shows the Top 6 clubs met FFP in 2018-19, nothing more, nothing less.

The financial jiggery pokery fantasy bollocks you came out with, and still don't understand, is you misrepresenting and misunderstanding what he posted and FFP in general therefore, which you then brought onto this forum

Our profits for those 3 seasons don’t add up to £450m you mug.

Hmmm while folks laugh at two people arguing about numbers I reckon there will be a whole lot more folk cock jousting when the window opens.

Probably won't be as funny then.
