I think he’s just struggling being so good when surrounded by such dross. I can’t blame him for having a go at Tanganga for West Ham’s first. Dier didn’t do anything wrong.
With the right players around him and if he continues to improve like he has, I reckon he has a good chance becoming captain when Lloris moves on.

Convinced it’s an ego thing on Mourinho’s part. Dier loves him and has been vocal about that which keeps him constantly on his good side. It’s going to get him sacked though since Eric is such a monumental weight weighing down the rest of the side right now. I’ll reiterate again as well. Him blaming Tanganga today disgusted me almost as much as his performance. Piss poor to try and shift the blame to a young kid who’s been one of the few defenders free from errors this season. Cares more about self-preservation than the good of the team. Can’t get rid of him quickly enough. Going to be damn near impossible though with the contract he signed not too long ago. Miserable situation.

What annoys me most about him is that he talks like he should be a leader but doesn't lead with his actions. He never takes charge of a situation. We defended well when we played 2 defensive midfielders who tucked back and almost made a back 6. Then you had 2 wide players dropping back. The midfield has to defend in numbers just to help the awful centre backs. It's no surprise that as soon as we try and push out we're leaking goals again. We leaked goals during this period last season too yet still picking the same culprits. I would pick Rodon, Toby or Tanganga over Dier and Sanchez. They should be 4th and 5th choice.
