Now that he’s committed to centre back and is player well there, I’m mostly concerned that we extend his contract beyond the end of next season.
“Quite simply, Patrick was not prepared to remain silent. And who could blame him? He became embroiled in an argument with the man”
that’s from the guardian and others report similar.
The “fan” was giving Eric abuse and his brother confronted the man and seems escalated the situation.
Obviously the fan started the situation in terms of shouting at Eric.
Saying that it was wrong implies not only that it was against the rules. It also implies that he should not have done it. But saying that as an employee he should not have done it, does not show that he should not have done it all things considered. Because he is not only an employee, he is also a human being and a brother.
Same goes for his brother. Sure, as someone who has been told not to get involved, he should not get involved. However, Eric's brother is not only someone who has been told not to get involved.
All things considered, both did the right thing.
I hope he’s captain for both. Love him. And I’ve heard he loves me.I hope he gets a massive cheer at Burnley and the next home game. Needs to know not every Spurs fan is a total ****.
If by some miracle Foyth can come good at CB; Dier, Sánchez, Tanganga and Foyth (with Davies as an emergency back-up and with a bit more midfield solidity in front of them) could be a decent crop of CBs for the next few years. I think Toby will sort himself out too and we'll get a couple more good years out of him. I was really pleased for Jan the other night as well as, while his time is undoubtedly coming to an end, he must have rebuilt a bit of confidence with some of the good things he did. From what I've seen since Tobys has been dropped and Dier coming into the back line has encouraged me greatly.
I toggled with the idea of us selling Dier but personally find his defending/aggression a bit more commanding than Toby's. It would be nice to see him there for more games to truly gauge.
If there's one / two players in our squad living off past glory it has been Toby and Jan.
Yep he was good today..maybe he should jump in the stands and go full Mortal Kombat every week if it means we get the old Dier back.We need to see angry Dier more
Eh?The change in training methods paying dividends, step training is grossly under rated.
