If you had asked me 4-5 years ago who was the most loyal Spurs player - it would not have been any of the HG players. I would have picked Eric Dier for his passion and dedication to the shirt.

Dier deserves way better than the way many fans treated him, at least online. Also mistreated by the current regime, where he could do a job while we're short on center backs (and duly did when he was asked to fill in). This is a dream move for him, and an overall loss for Spurs. Best of luck to the lad.

Best of luck to him but i cannot see how in anyway shape or form this is a loss to Spurs.

What It is, is finally shifting some of the dead wood and getting him off the wage bill with 3.4mil in our back pockets.

With Eric going, Sonny becomes the last man standing of that Pochettino team that gave us so many wonderful memories and reasons to fall in love with this club over and over again.

Now, here's hoping to rekindle that same sentiments with Ange and this new team.

Good luck, Eric.

2014 - Spurs buy Dier from Sporting for 4m

Scored PL goal on debut on last minute to win against WestHam...scored in his 2nd game at WHL. played as RB, Defensive mid, CB. Made his England debut, has 49 caps. Played over 270 games for Spurs

For me , he is a model pro , great Tottenham player who may not have had great footballing skills but mentally astute, tactically smart who made the most of his abilities. Speaks multiple languages.

Now, after 9 yrs, we are letting him go for 4m€ - its a brilliant deal for club. I hope he wins trophies along with his pal Kane.

He is one of those players, who I can see him becoming a coach & a manager one day.

This is always going to be a fond memory for me on dier playing for England..

Always been a professional for club, and played with passion for us.. Will be missed as a leader.

Really happy for Eric and hope he can discover his best football in Germany.

With players like Hugo, Dier, Spence leaving we will have a really focused squad going forward. A silverlining of our injury crisis is that every senior squad player have had opportunities which is important in terms of feeling part of the team.

Gil has the fewest minutes but even he has 8 appearances and 2 starts.

Genuinely happy for him. I hope he does not have too many hard feelings about us.
Why should he ?? ... he just doesn't fit in anymore in where we want to go 🤷‍♂️ ... 9 years is a long time to be at the same club in modern football... so no hard feelings involved.

He was an important part of a wonderful rebuild and part of our history... and then survived several managers.. that's an achievement in itself.

Now it's time for a new course with Captain Ange. 👍

The club no. Many "supporters" though have been shitting on him for several years, often unfairly.
