Ozil has some fantastic ability on the ball sometimes but his off the ball work is shocking. Walks or likely jogs around, barely puts a foot in, doesn't pressure with any intensity etc.

There was a time in the match yesterday when Walker was stuck in the corner of his own half and it was Ozil who came to apply the pressure, Walker had a look and he must have known who it was because he just with the most of ease simply turned, held his arm out and bit and practically walked past, it was pathetic from Ozil.

Watching Ozil last night he didn't want to be there and really couldn't be arsed.

And thats with a brand new contract. If Wenger stays one more year it could break Ozil.

Screw Ozil, I want him to break Arsenal!

No point comparing two players if their desire and effort are mismatched. Without that Ozils talents are wasted and his potential wasted. He's a nothing player nowadays, broken spirit money focused. The only reason he stayed is cos no-one came in for him, cos we can all see it.

They are both brilliant players in all honesty. It is easy to laugh now because Arsenal are playing so poorly, but lets not forget that Eriksen does have his off moments too. Earlier in the season he was quite below standard - I remember the away game to Leicester sticking out in my mind. Lamela had to come on as Eriksen just couldn't find the passes to create anything.

That being said I think the difference is that when an out of form Eriksen offers a lot more than a can't be bothered Ozil. Even when Eriksen is playing poorly, he will still press and chase down every ball which offers a lot more to the team.

I would say that they are almost neck and neck in terms of ability, but I would always go with Eriksen over Ozil any day.

That's as I see it. An on form, motivated Ozil is a seriously fantastic player who I would take in a heart beat

But now way would I swap him for Eriksen, hot and cold though he can, at times, blow!
