I don't think that we need more than the one change. Kulu is looking shattered and maybe needs 20 mins only. Not really fair to hook Johnson as he's not really been given the chance to do anything here and isn't where the problem is. We need to get on the ball in the middle.

Sarr should be fit enough for 45 surely? PEH getting pelters but he does do some important defensive work. Bents has just been poor.

Need to do something about players targeting Vicario at corners. Harrison twice makes no attempt whatsoever to get near the ball, in fact he's not even facing play. His only intention is to shove Vicario. If Refs are OK with that, we need to put a player in there to muscle their player out of the way. Everyone is going to be trying to do the same now after Man City and today.

Sorry but in my eyes its richarlisons terrible control and hold up play thats causing this, and most of the bad balls are coming from porro/romero.

Loads of problems, but Höjberg and Bentancur are not performing on needed level and one If not both must come off

I can understand the clamour for half time subs, but having played Wednesday night a lot of our players will start to tire, so I would wait, let the coaches do their thing and make the tactical / strategic tweaks to gain us more control which will hopefully settle us down. Then we look to make changes from 60+ minutes.

Seems that way. For the goal, Harrison showed no interest in going for the ball, but made a clear move into Vicario, yet the ref, with VAR assistance, saw nothing untoward. It's quite bizarre.

Yeah, something needs to change massively. At the moment it's every corner being dropped almost on the goal line with Everton players being able to just fight it over the line. Way too easy.

Porro doesn’t have any options… Hojbjerg and Bentancur don’t have the athleticism of Sarr and Bissouma to come and get the ball and then push forward without much of a fear of getting dispossessed.

Whereas Johnson isn’t doing Porro any favours. He’s not coming short or trying to run in behind the Everton LB.

He was infuriating early on when he actually beat the LB and had space to run into but tried to move the ball back on to his right foot and lost possession. Confidence or not, Johnson doesn’t come across as particularly bright.

This isn't NFL, the notion that our players now need to be linesmen to protect our quarterback Vicario is slightly ridiculous. This is on the officials for allowing this behaviour.

He is unfortunately.

Interestingly I thought he looked great after his long way off.

But its the ankle injury that has taken something out of him.

He isnt really gliding past players or moving into the right areas.

It is certainly putting us under pressure

We were surprised about the speed in which he came back the second time. It feels like he rushed himself back the second time and still isn’t feeling entirely comfortable. I get it, he was out a long time and had had enough of being on the sidelines but I wonder if more time on the sidelines wouldn’t have been best.

Bents and PEH are just too slow over the first couple of yards, we’re second or third to everything loose.

Yep in a game like this when it’s high energy at a tight ground one or both of Bissouma and Sarr could’ve been helpful.

We’ve played ok in patches but we aren’t controlling the game as we’d like to be.
