They’ve only picked up 2 points in their last 5 games prior to today. They’ve been poor for a while now. It’s a bad result, especially after leading twice.
Eventually, their run of form would end. The only thing that bugs me is their stupid set piece routine, it’s cheating but the refs do nothing about it.

They talk about the atmosphere at Goodison but it's mostly just booing and jeering all the time. Hardly any songs.

This is a poor result but man was it tough playing Brentford Wednesday and then the early kick off at Everton. We have to get used to them being this tough physical Dyche team. It's so frustrating though that we get in front and don't kill teams off when on top. I could see the set piece goal a mile off and I'm sure I'm not alone either.

Not enough quality in wide attack was a key for me. We miss Son but we need more quality. Werner is good but lacks confidence, Kulusevski, Johnson and Gil are all under development. Our main business in the summer needs to be a wide attacker with end product who can play either side. Someone to replace Son long term but play with him until then.

It was a frustrating performance and really disappointing to concede so late but a bit of perspective is needed too.

Everton made it difficult for us. They are by no means a walkover: they’ve lost just once in their last five league matches at home - and that was v City. In the last 5 league matches at Goodison they have beaten Newcastle and Chelsea relatively comfortably and drew with Villa. Without their points deduction they’d be mid table, just three points off the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and Brighton.

Yeah we should and need to do better but we were playing a difficult to beat, well organised team and we are still missing some key players whilst several other key players look half fit.

Once again it was disappointing to concede so late and generally play so poorly, but a point is not the end of the world.

Gave away silly free kicks, gave the ball away too easily and shocking defending on set pieces…we had 3 centre backs on the pitch and Romero with a poor header costs us

Team on paper looks great, should be able to dominate them, but as I told the wife we could have 10 Messi’s out there and Tottenham being Tottenham will find a way to fuck it up, should be winning games like that comfortably, Everton looked crap.

I mean, I’m at that point now where I keep reminding myself we finished 8th last season and then sold our best player.

I said at the start of the season my aim would be for us to just be back in Europe next season, and to be fair we are WAY ahead of that goal I feel. We are 100% in the battle for 4th which is beyond what I expected, and I think the squad changes and building we have done are also a long long way ahead of where I thought they would be.

We’ve had a glimpse of what could be coming and I feel I need to sometimes temper down my reaction to the speed bumps like today, we’re still very much building and it’s been a disruptive season. Most important thing is you can see the direction we are headed in and it’s looking great.

Further ahead than where I thought we would be and still very much on target to achieve a lot, as frustrating as days like today are, I think the frustration comes from how well, and how much we have exceeded all of our expectations till this point.

They haven’t been losing many games though. They’ve only lost a couple of league games since the end of November.

Didn't feel it was a particularly good performance from us however 2-1 up with a couple mins to see out massively disappointing to concede from a set piece and end up drawing the game.

We had some tired legs out there towards the end and felt we were asking for trouble by looking to play ourselves out from midway of our own half. Sometimes do feel you have to play the percentages being 2-1 up that late on and just hit the balls long towards the corners. Kulusevski has bit of a habit of making these ungainly looking fouls so no surprise there.

First half, thought we were lucky to be going in ahead although they were two fantastic finishes from Richarlison. Second half was a bit strange, some moments but game generally felt a bit directionless but 2-1 is never a safe score line and we paid the price.

Both Hojbjerg and Bentancur were poor and gave us no control in midfield and felt the main reason we weren't great. If you are going to look to play yourself out of your own half at awkward places like Everton, you need midfielders who can play themselves out of tricky situations. Hojbjerg can't do that and although Bentancur can, he just wasn't very good today.

Their whinge level goes up to 11 when they play us it feels like. That kind of energy wears you down after awhile. It’s hard to play football in that kind of atmosphere.

that said the choice of pass when in a promising position was continually poor. We just took the sting out of our own attacks and just ended up going backwards. Has happened a few times away from home this season.

If you're going to put a third CB on late on maybe you should be thinking dogs of war Davies or Royal rather than a young thoroughbred like Dragusin, against a brute of a team like Everton at set pieces?
