Meanwhile, in the Jeremy Kyle stand, Butch Leslie shares a joke with her good friend Dele Alli.

Last 15 was abit odd, we were controlling it then seemed to take our feet off the pedals, wonder is Poch said ease up lads.
The changes were a bit of a spanner (understandable they were made, though); also, Hugo passing the ball to the oppo. didn't help overall stability.

Rose is no longer a shoe in, Davies is challenging rapidly with his sweet left foot.

Ben Davies crossing was fantastic. Some Beckham type crosses at times. I used to really dislike him in a Spurs shirt but since he got a big run in the side he's prettry solid
Same thing happened to Rose once he got a run of matches at Sunderland...

Just think, if we get Wanyama back in that side, Rose and Lamela still to come back from injury, Aurier as well to come in the side, just imagine it.

Lloris
Toby Sanchez Verts
Aurier Rose
Dembele Wanyama
Eriksen Alli
Kane

Bench : Lamela/Sissoko, Llorente, Trippier, Son, Vorm, Dier, Davies

Absolutely frightening squad. I honestly believe once his back on real form and fitness Lamela will be first team and become an instrumental player for us this season.

He seems to have improved. It was so frustrating how many of his crosses used to simply hit the first man. Against Everton he was getting good delivery into the box. He did really well yesterday - Im hoping it is not just a case of Leyton Bains loosing 1/2 a yard?

People think Lloris has bad distribution largely because of confirmation bias.
If i could winner this 100 times i would...same old hyperbole bullshit like his distribution being League 2 standard being trotted out as ever.
Its complete and utter nonsense.

Baines would have been up against Trippier on other side?

Let's not completely re-write his performance. He was decent, nothing more. Should have scored twice and botched opportunities to set up more with a simple lay off to Eriksen and an overhit cross when Alli was in acres of space.
No ones saying he's turned into Pele mate.
I take it you'll be writing a post pinpointing every single time one of our players made a mistake or wrong decision? Or is it just Sissoko you're doing that for?

The set up in this game very much reminded me of the Ajaz mid nineties Champions League winners. Yes, Trippier and Davies are in theory full backs, but their position was so high up on the pitch that really they were widemen in the old fashioned sense, while Vertonghen and Alderweireld spent as much time in traditional full back positions as they did in the middle, especially on the ball.

Van der Sar
Reiziger Blind F.De Boer
Rijkaard
Finidi Seedorf Davids Overmars
Litmanen
R.De Boer

Kane
Dele
Davies Sissoko Eriksen Trippier
Dier
Vertonghen Sanchez Alderweireld
Lloris
When it's Rose and Aurier instead of Davies in Trippier it will be even more reminiscent.

It just becomes spooky when you then look at our lineup and see 4 players who broke through at Ajax.
