I’d put pich in charge tomorrow, and say use the academy until end of season and see where we are. what’s the worse that can happen?

De zebri being raved about on talksport for bring a new way of playing to the premier league
Quality coach.

For those saying "He's only been here 5 mins, we need more evidence" will be worth noting that Poch had been at Southampton 5 mins when everyone was raving about him.

I know but nothing has changed.

We have a 34 year old reserve goal keeper in goal… we have our 3rd choice cm playing, we still have 1 good CB.

But everything is contes fault even though he’s not even there….

Everyone is so angry yet at some point the players have to stand up and be fucking counted.

You're right, nothing has changed. We still set up 343 every game and give ourselves a numerical disadvantage in midfield (where games are generally won or lost). We still see Son starting every game even though his form has been atrocious for months. we still see Harry Kane taking direct free kicks when he's been fucking them up for years. We still see substitutions left until it's way too late to have any impact. Conte could do something about all of those things but he's as stubborn as a fucking mule. He may not be here right now, but he's definitely phoning it in.

I think this is unfair. He’s a good manager. But his approach clearly does not work in the premier league in 2023.
It isn’t unfair. It’s facts.

He has no desire whatsoever to coach players. He expects big money spent on the best players to fit his rubbish philosophy otherwise he bitches and moans. He’s been at this club for well over a year now and hasn’t improved a single player. Even Emerson’s improvement has come with Conte out of the picture.

Gave my child the classic Cuti Kick to relieve some tension.

Luckily it's a sausage dog so can't make enough noise to alarm the neighbours.

Now she looks like Costa after that Skipp challenge.

I will never in my life, understand how Levy decided Ten Hag was not a good after his manifesto after that Villa game.

this is all we and good, but I’m sure you joined me and nearly everyone in thinking thank duck we didn’t and thought we dodged a bullet when they got dicked 4-0 by Brentford.

i mean he made the most sense by working on a budget like he did at Ajax etc, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Well clearly some are by saying sack him which only a football chairman can do
Oh come on, what are we supposed to do? Never say anything about a manager unless we, personally, have a new one hypothetically lined-up? That's absurd. Though I agree the changes go far beyond the manager. That said, the manager is the most important (for the way we play) and the most easily changed, so for me, it needs to be changed. Mason as caretaker would be an improvement. At least that hints at something new coming down the line instead of this mind-numbing awfulness that is being served up by Winner(TM) Conte and team.

He is definitely a good manager, probably ideally suited to a club which has amongst the most resources in the league and is successful early on so he can simply play the same approach every game (because it's working).

His tenure at the club has shown he doesn't have the flexibility to change and get the best out of our weaker players when it's going badly. That isn't a crime and people shouldn't destroy his reputation over it, but it equally indicates he isn't the man for the spurs job. We need someone who promotes attractive football and will amend his approach to suit what top players we have, and helps minimise the risk of our crap players ruining the team.

One other point - not playing Danjuma makes Conte look like a petty child not picking levy’s signing. I don’t care if he looks shit in training - it’s impossible to be worse than Son who gets 90 mins over and over

I'd love to have seen how many Kane would have scored over the past 3 managers if we'd built the team around him rather than being a defensive, counter-attacking team that sucked all the joy out of football with tactics that got worked out last year. It's been such a waste.

It's no wonder Maddison 'wouldn't' suit Conte's style of football lol'. Too right he wouldn't.

Poch literally came in to this club is a state of chaos and made wholesale changes. Poch predicted, too much criticism, that the club needed a painful rebuild. He was right. How can you say he isn’t the man for it?

Because he didn't win the champions league in a season where we had the midfield masterclass pairing of Harry Winks and Mousa Sissoko or win a trophy during a period of austerity as we built a new stadium and then had the audacity to not start the new season strong after coming inches from the greatest achievement in the clubs history whilst also navigating brand new signings which were two seasons too late who had to immediately be the answer to everything, two of which were injured. How we didn't kick on after our most successful season at our home ground being followed by knocking it down immediately after the final game of that season and having to play our home games in an entirely different stadium I don't know.

I would still say a lot of his success is down to Brighton's overall club structure in terms of player recruitment and continuity when stars leave, much like Southampton back then under Poch.

It just goes to show having both a really talented coach AND a solid overall club structure is what a club needs to thrive.
