Milan have been in the Champions League Quarter finals once in the last 15 years (same as Leicester City) and they are 5th in Serie A and would have been 6th would it not for Juventus getting a points deduction.

Sadly some people only see the negatives in everything. Even when you mention we're 4th people will use hypothetical nonsense to shoot it down. Oh but if the teams win their games in hand or if Liverpool and Chelsea weren't having a bad season. If everyone was doing better we would get relegated. It's sad really that people can't even enjoy the positives at all like things are really so bad. As we line up in the Champions League against Milan in this amazing stadium and not everyone is happy or wants to enjoy it. I get the impression at times people are almost waiting for us to fuck up just so they can say they were right. Like people get more joy being right on the Internet than to see their team win. Why can't people just get behind the team and be an actual supporter rather than moan all the bloody time. I really hope Conte returns with a bang and we get Conte cam back with him going crazy over a win again. COYS!
It's just as depressing on this side of the fence, where we want to enjoy it, we really do.

There will definitely be a very small percentage doing exactly as you say, but for the majority, it is just an impression and not the true intention.

I'd say we all turned up or tuned in tonight with the best intentions of getting behind the team and ideally looking forward to a good game, but we kinda half knew we weren't going to get it. It does probably come across as negative on your side of the fence, but it's based on form for 'us' lot. I'd guarantee 99% of us would love nothing more than signs of a good future under Conte, but it's just not very apparent.

I recognise he is a winner, and recognise he's the best we've had, and recognise he is a proven great manager, but I can't get behind this lack of progression.

It's not being negative for the sake of it if that's how it comes across for most of us I'm sure. For me it's now getting to be a lack of hope to an extent. Spurs fans are built on nothing but hope and we're good at it. We're even comfortable in it at times to our own detriment, but when even the hope of winning, or seeing a good game of football, or hoping for a goal, or a performance from one player, or one good move, and it still doesn't come but only seems to get worse, then the hope starts to fade, so when you're not even hoping to enjoy one single aspect of an upcoming game it becomes hard to keep being positive when you know you're just putting up with it.

Essentially, football is kicking a ball around and having a bit of fun and things just haven't been good old, plain, simple fun around here for a long time. Perhaps we just need to get back to those basics for a while to unite the fanbase again.

Serious question as I'm really struggling to find one, but has Conte actually improved any player whilst at the club?
No. Skipp was already good, Sarr is young and obvs going to improve and Royal has improved by paying for it himself.

He’s genuinely talking like he’s prepping his interview for them next season

No more ex-Chelsea managers please. I swear they all have a secret self-destruct Tottenham clause included when they leave that mob.

Also we all have eyes and saw for ourselves that this is not a Milan side to be particularly fussed about. We should’ve absolutely destroyed them over 2 legs, not go out with a whimper like we did. He’s really trying to annoy us now.

He’s pathetic. Get him out and get in anyone who doesn’t think he’s doing us a massive favour getting paid £15m a year to play the worst football in the country.

Spurs, for me, is my escape from the every day shit of life that we all go through....worries about job, partner, family, money etc etc.
This shit it more depressing than 'real life'.
Bring back Poch or at least someone who makes watching Spurs enjoyable again. Enough of this crap...ta ra Antonio 👋

Playing football is supposed to be fun and bring joy, even with players doing it purely as a job like BAE.
Conte has sucked all the joy out of these players with his tactics that say where every player should be in every minute and circumstance.
It kills creativity and makes for the shite we are seeing.

Didn't want him when we got him as I am not a fan of 3 CB's and have never been impressed with his team's whether they win or not.

I just want to see the players and fans smiling and enjoying their football again... is that too much to ask?

If levy doesn't sack him I can't believe Conte even has the gall to stay on (sorry :sneaky: )
I'm constantly pointing at the screen shouting move there into space, but the player just stands alongside the opposition player, the balls passed backwards, sideways, etc etc
