I think he'd be in for a nasty surprise if he believes that would work
I think if he doesn't get Conte to stay , especially after these leaks it would be the only move he has.

I'm not saying it works, but I can't see another move PR wise that could come close.

We could always go back to the Chelsea well - Tuchel will probably still be available...

He would be excellent but if we wouldn't back Conte then the fanbase won't believe we would back him.

A pull on the heartstrings would be his best shot.

Anyway let's hope it doesn't come to it and we get Zaniolo and Bastoni in January ?

I am hoping he has dropped his interest in Zaniolo. Just don't see what he will bring

It makes sense from Conte because he will need to be sure he's going to get the same backing in the next window. No point signing a new contract now if that doesnt happen. Best way to get him to sign is assure him of the financial backing in Jan and then I'm sure he'll sign.

To think some wanted him here is a sickening thought.
To be fair I think we had gone down the list by that point , I'm not sure many wanted him early on. A lot were excited about Conte or Poch and a fair number interested in Ten Hag. Once they were off the menu we were talking about Fonseca, Gattuso, Nuno etc.

I like Conte, but he's such a pussy. I finally came to understand that he's way more worried/focused about not losing top 4, than about fighting for any titles.

Making Manchester United seem like Manchester City is just too much.

Hate to say it but I’m really not sure any time against a top side we are out coached and classed we are easy to play against predictable slow and dreadful.

then he’s too stubborn to change anything leaves it all too late

We’re not good enough for a title atm and he probably knows that

Are we good enough to look like professional footballers in a PL game ?
Yeah, but if the players can’t run, can’t control a ball and play 10 yard passes what can he do.
I am in no way not blaming him but the players are putting on a shitshow. Which away from home at a top side is all the norm
