Our best premier league after 10 games isn’t too bad

This sentence alone just shows how weird everything is. You feel stupid for criticising a caoch that has given us the best EPL start ever, finished top 4 for us and has won leagues in every team he has managed but yet at Spurs we moan but the thing is, i totally get why people are moaning, football is so out dated, quite frankly, it is shite. I'm just confused.

all that money and we're left with this shit? not for me.

he's had a whole pre-season and summer window, which we we were all told was going to make a massive difference, and this is as good as he can do?
Honestly, so much has been made about the money we spent, headlines about how ENIC and Levy are really going for it and we've never seen anything like this before with a whopping £150 million war chest...The top teams have no trouble throwing that on 1-2 players without batting an eyelid. We had a net spend of £118mil with 5 teams surpassing that.

All that money really wasn't all that money to me.

It's the coaching. Players weren't great tonight by any distance, but this negative football sits with the manager.
What worries me is the squad nucleus is the same we started boring negative football towards the end of poch is reign, then it hasn’t improved since don’t think we’ve played attractive football since the last season in white hart lane

Like someone said in the match thread, our football hasn’t been enjoyable (at least on a consistent level) since Pochettino was coach.

However, someone else stated that they’d rather enjoy our performances without winning, which I wholeheartedly disagree with. IF we won something playing like this, I’ll unquestionably take it, but it is not remotely fun to watch.
I have a feeling the Poch thread will make a re-emergence sooner, rather than later. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that IF Conte went, we'd be back on the Poch train quicker than a Liz Truss turnaround.

We’re still missing the top quality CB and top quality RWB that we were missing before the window.

Team is still not good enough to compete. Not enough creativity in midfield, and lacking in wingbacks and options up front.

I think that was a systemic failure tonight, I really do. It was expected that we’d be tired, lethargic midweek against a pressing side at OT. That happens, it’s expected after playing the same squad basically non-stop for a month.

Leggy is fine. Outplayed, is not.

But this was Conte’s philosophy being absolutely ravaged and ran through the mud by the bright ideas of Ten Hag. This was a dangerous loss. The one that teeters the project on collapse.

Felt like that Tory MP on the BBC - fuming.

I rarely if ever walk away from a game but knew I had to at 75 mins. Appalling no show football, yet again. I thought we were onto something here but sadly another trip to a top 6 rival, another no show. Before people go on about Poch, this used to happen under him too. Genuine decline fears now, terrible performances like that and Harry could walk free to anyone in the summer, in fact Conte could too.

Should finish top 4 but after that having some doubts, especially with having been on and off since early 2019, even in our last two cup finals were like this. Consistently inconsistent.

Conte is a Results Manager. He’ll get more right than he gets wrong in that department. It’s also why we only sing his name when we’re winning. There’s nothing much to sing about otherwise. Onto the next game we go. This one is dead.

certainly doesn't appear to have been that well spent in any case.

How did this United team turn things around in just a few games since the shit show against Brentford and we look no better or starting to click at all?

Why aren't we improving? It feels like the plan is to hang on and hope for a counterattack and nothing else...

Maybe we’ll scrape 4th but if there isn’t genuine evidence of improvement or that our trajectory is on the way up I really can’t see the point in him having another season. I don’t expect us to be going to these tough away games and winning them but I really thought this season we’d at least be competitive in them. I also think our start to the season points wise is pulling the wool over a lot of eyes. We’ve only beaten pretty average sides this season, in those games we’ve often only been good in the second half and the opposition have fluffed massive chances in the first half. I’m not ashamed to say that I’m struggling to get behind things at the minute, the football is shocking and after so many years now I miss seeing us being an attacking side. I’ll cheer us on but I’m bored.

Judge him at the end of the season, but we seriously need to start getting a grip of these away games. It’s painful. We’ve now lost to United, Arsenal and Sporting, and we absolutely deserved to lose against Chelsea too.

I have no confience we will even win anything under conte, league is a write off, his proven to be a champions league winner, if we come up against a top side in league or fa cup we are screwed

He is but then if we want to be eventually winning silverware then we simply must be finding ways to beat our rivals and that seems far away right now - at least away from home.

It seems completely remiss to bash Conte after what is our record point haul to a start of a campaign but lessons really aren't seemingly being learnt and the question is, are the players not responding to Conte's demands or is it stubbornness in tactics applied?
