Compare Arsenal's plight to Tottenham's flight in front of goal. No team has made more shots - either on or off target - than Antonio Conte's side since Arsenal last scored from open goal (four games ago). Data also shows Spurs are creating better chances in front of goal in that same period.

This attacking impetus shows why Spurs are threatening to steal a march on the top-four race - and why the north London pendulum is swinging again.

Completely agree, those players are good enough to be in our rotation and on our bench. I would much rather Emerson be sold who is probably a very sellable asset and invest heavily in an absolutely quality, rapid RWB, to rotate with Doherty.

Berg this season has proven a very good and capable backup, who can play anywhere across the front 3 and can even come on and bang in goals, I would absolutely keep him and look to move on Moura and bring in ideally a Dybala and versatile player like CDK. I appreciate Dybala may be a pipe dream but that is my ideal situation. I am sure Moura is pretty sellable still to Italy etc.

Davies has proven himself worthy at LCB, a few mistakes aside and would be very comfortable with him being back up if we can bring in a true quality LCB, ideally one who is strong aerially.
Unpopular opinion time...

It takes time, Doherty has been the quickest to adapt as he is an actual RWB, all of our other options are in a sense playing out of position. Although Sess looks ready made for that position, he is still inexperienced, incredibly young and has been unlucky with injuries.

Emerson and Reguillon are both young and you could argue still adapting to life in the premiership. Add to that they are both not in their correct position, it could take some time before they adapt.

I don't like writing off players, especially after such a short time. I would include Berwign in this list as well. There is an argument for Winks and Lucas to be shifted as they have been at the club for years and have (arguably) not made the grade. But even in the case of Lucas, having a player on the bench like him is no bad thing, we saw it against Newcastle in his cameo. Maybe if we do sell him, Gill takes his place.

Winks as well will be fourth choice central midfield and if Sarr is good enough perhaps even fifth.

I do agree with bringing in the right players with the right attitude, but they have to improve our XI. I wouldn't be going crazy if we only bring in 2/3 top quality additions in the summer. If there is a wing back (either side) available and is top class, we should be all in. But it is not as urgent as people make out, sometimes all we need is a little patience.

Conte's ability to improve players should not be underestimated.

We need more than 2/3. We need 4-5 ideally. To Dare is to do.
If we are in any European competition next season and go further in cups than we have this season then the squad will be tested, our first XI right now is strong due to contes system and improving players but the squad overall and a few certain positions still seriously need upgrading, 2-3 signings in summer won’t cut it for me or Conte or most of our fans.

We signed 2 good players just in January alone summer should be aiming for 5. Give conte those, ship the ones on Loan out and others who don’t make the grade and we’d genuinely with the right signings have a possible title challenging squad under Conte in most normal seasons when you do have a City or Liverpool getting nearly 100pts.

Exciting times.

Id be aiming for something like:

OUT:
Gollini
Rodon
Emerson
Winks
Ndombele
Lo Celso
Gil (back on loan again unless Conte thinks he’s ready but I don’t think he will be yet
Lucas

IN’s: E.g’s
GK : Johnston (free?)
CB : De Virj
RWB: Mukiele or D.Spence etc? (Budget depending and if we get CL footy or not)
CM : Eriksen (Free)
AM: Dybala (Free)
ST : young but very capeable back up striker

Sure it’s a bit pipe dreamy with those players but 3 would be on free’s we should be fetching decent fee’s for the outs and if we want to give Conte a squad to win titles and trophies then we need to have a seriously strong summer window which I believe we will, especially if we can sneak into CL spot.

I think the reason it took Conte so long to get us going is simply because of the state of the squad he inherited when he took over. We were miles from the level we needed which he repeatedly stated. We had to improve in all aspects and work hard, that is now bearing fruit.

The signings of Bentancur, Romero and Kulu and their instant impact is similar to the way Liverpool recruited when Klopp first took over. Pretty much everyone they bought in improved their side. What we need to do is make sure we get it right again this summer, and not be scared of spending a bit of money. Whether we get top 4 or not I don’t think it will affect us, a bit like it didn’t affect Liverpool when they missed out the first season under Klopp. Of course if we get it it’s fantastic and will speed up our progress but I feel next season we have a great season to look forward to regardless. You just feel CL this season is more impotent just to keep Conte and more specifically Kane invested and happy to stay.

United are yet again starting a new project, Chelsea have new owners and are going to naturally feel unsettled and potentially will not have the funds they are used to. No reason we can’t compete with City and Liverpool next season, we just need a really good summer of recruitment.

Reports suggest he's been speaking with PSG and will go there in the summer and sign Lukaku. Story is plausible, but wonder if it's planted to bait Levy to back him?

I’m so out of touch with horse racing I’m at the point of just picking a name for the winner of grand national. Class Conti 150/1 on betfair.

What makes you think it is plausible? I am assuming the story has been written by a respected jouro and there are some quotes from respected people in the game to back it up?
