I still find it hard to see how Paratici could have been directly responsible for accountancy fraud. I am presuming he's in trouble because he was made aware of it and did not report or address it.
Cherubini was aware of it according to this article , was he the one that spilled the beans , he is still with Juve but seemed to know what was going on.
Scandals in Italian football are nothing new , been going on for years..

PS The real disgrace is that Levy and the club have made no public announcement on this matter, another reason for the Governments aim to get fan representation on the board of directors at football clubs to be implemented as soon as possible.

This chapter of Spurs will be called the “Italian Job”. I see Clooney as the suave Fab / Caine role. I’m stumped for the Conte role tho.

I mean we all kind of knew this sort of stuff was going on, didn't we?

Fixing the fee higher for Romero so we scratch juves back, a higher fee for kulusevski, yet a lower fee for bentancur (back scratching on both sides) It's normal dabbling and fixing to improve 'contacts', especially in Italy (I imagine)

For me Paratici is the best thing to happen to spurs in years. Hopefully he gets away with it. I mean didn't we do a similar thing when we signed Lo Celso a few years ago.

It's not that bad is it, as long as he's not taking and giving bribes he should be kept on as long as he can.

If he has been caught bribing though it's game over. We will be back to square one.

Fully expect the club to get rid shortly after the window closes. He may win an appeal, but it will be too late, his name is mud now and we will look better acting first before the ban is extended across europe, no way Levy takes the fall, FP will get the axe.

Has anyone watched the 4 parter on Sky Documentaries following the summer transfer window last year?

Quite a good watch (apart from the pair of bellends from SSN) as it follows a number of agents (including Champ Manager legend Cherno Samba) and players across the series.

One of the transfers (or not) they follow is Japhet Tanganga to one of the Milan clubs. In episode 1 or 2 Paratici is at some event in the Italian embassy schmoozing with various people/agents/politicians and talking about Japhet.
At one point he's on the phone with a director from Inter (I think) and in response to Inters offer he says something along the lines of (slightly paraphrasing here)....I'm Italian too so I know what your up to now F off and make a proper offer.

Not groundbreaking but a rare glimpse into the characters of a murky business.

Following on the discussion in the Zaniolo thread, the problem Deki and Bentancur have is that Chiellini sent a message in the WhatsApp group telling them what's going to happen and to keep it hush, so they can't claim not knowing something was going on, and ignorance isn't an excuse in the eyes of the law. Really depends if this automatic 30 days suspension is a FIGC (Italy) law or a Fifa/UEFA law. Even then they might appeal for it to be extended like with Paratici

So Kulu and Bentancur could be banned for 30 days then? ??‍♂️
Would seem harsh but if true that the players agreed to be part of something they knew was a bit shady, then possible. Ignorance no defence etc. Certainly sounds like Juve as a club were up to their eyeballs in it. Would hope there might be leniency - a suspended punishment if they were genuinely misled...

If it does turn out paratici was continuing his dodgy dealing here, then whataboutery aside, the club are in the shit too, with possible fines and maybe a transfer ban.
But who else would also be culpable at the club?

I think it likely Paratici was given a fair bit of freedom to do what he wanted how he wanted and clearly Levy's ability to interfere, which he most certainly would have done given the chance, was limited. There is no way he would have sanctioned Dele's free transfer after all. Or aurier's. Or alderweirld's.
And Uncle Joe is hardly hands on.

It seems very odd there wasn't someone overseeing the transfers - it just isn't good enough for a club our size, and with these fees for them to say they just didn't know. They weren't suspicious. They did not understand. It wasn't their responsibility.
Levy knew. The Lewis's knew.
No wonder qsi are interested in investing in the club.

Part of a team with no plan.

In addition to these alleged offenses, I expect him to rightly lose his job.
