Basel won 1-0 on Sunday while Grasshoppers could only manage a scoreless draw against Luzern, so the two are now level on points at the top of the table. The Swiss league is fairly open but most analysts are saying Grasshoppers have the slightly easier run-in.
The team was clearly tired and travel weary but their class shone through in the end against a poor Thun side. Basel controlled the game and even missed a penalty, there weren't really any chances for Thun which is another testament to the Basel defense.
Streller scored a beautiful goal late that won it, here are the highlights.
I think he's out of a job now, he was at young boys for a while
Those were the days! I wonder if he has an oyster card?
What a finish!
Do they play on a proper pitch or a plastic one?

If there are changes to be seen for our game, I'm willing to bet that probably both CMs will be replaced, and of course Diaz is suspended. One of the wingers may be rotated. To replace Diaz, either Alexander Frei will come in and drop back or Fabian Frei will push up.
Just guesses but that's what would make sense to me. I'll keep an eye out for what Murat Yakin says over the next few days.
No problem, glad to help.Strikeb4ck, your contribution to this thread has been spectacular and you really did all the legwork here. Well done, thanks man.
Cabral should definitely be back, and yeah, he is a presence. As said, he is a bit streaky and inconsistent but if he's playing well he can really cause problems. You reckon Cabral will come back into the Basel team Strikeb4ck? Worried he could go through Dembélé and especially Parker - seemed to be a very impressive physical presence in midfield last year.
Who is the creative replacement for Shaqiri (and to an extent Xhaka as well) from last year?
Well, hope you all aren't too shocked with what just happened! Warned you that they were a very dangerous team with a fantastic young manager, we were completely outplayed today. Best performance at WHL this season, I'd say.
We are in big trouble now...They have two away goals (they are fantastic in defence), get 3 crucial players back, will have a capacity stadium and probably the best atmosphere of their season in the next match, not to mention we've lost players.
