He's 32 and slow as a bus.

Just don't see why we are doing this.
I think it's due to Janssen being so ineffective. the idea is to now get a proven prem goalscorer in as #2 as a stop-gap for a couple seasons.

I understand the idea but the profile of this player just doesn't suit us imo.

This transfer makes zero sense. Llorente is 32 so no sell on fee, we don't have any wingers to supply him with crosses, no pace, isn't a different option to Kane and will cost a lot of money. For the first time I really want Chelsea to hijack the deal but that's not looking likely

It really is amazing how quickly deals move on deadline day, months of negotiations condensed into one day

Not on age but in terms of current ability hes an upgrade on Janssen and will relieve some of the pressure on Kane in cup games.

15 goals last season for Swansea isnt shabby in terms of where they were in the league. So if he can do the same for us I'd be very happy.

Still like to see Janssen given a loan in the hope that he can turn his premiership career around.

this really did come out of nowhere though. Does this effect the chances of us going after a pacy wide forward?

Experience is key and he has plenty.

On top of that he can still be a very effective player off the bench as he has exceptional hold up play and also be a huge threat in the air.

Alot of fans would be put off the fact that his 32 and slow. But boy is that deceiving, he has so much more to his game even without the pace. Hold up play, awareness in and around the box, one touch passes, finishing, technique and of course his aerial ability is 10/10.

Very shrewd signing if we pull this off. And definitely seems like a poch signing which I'm more then happy with.

Completely disagree. He offers 3 things we don't have already: experience, a plan B when our build up play isnt getting anywhere, and an actual threat off the bench. We also have the best crosser in the league in Trippier so....

Llorente had 45 total shoots on goal, which averages out to 1.6 shoots per game last year and managed to scored 15 goals.
