surely he's been convinced if he's doing a medical....else why would he bother doing one?!?!

Don't really have the time to mess around. Do the medical and then see what happens.

Somewhat underwhelming, but if we're up against it we can throw some crosses in and he's liable to horse a few headers in alright.

Better than Janssen though, but I'm wondering how far down the list of targets he was...no real resale value either as he's 32.

It all seems a bit lastminute.com again...plus a déjà vu name from previous windows. 5-6 years ago I'd be well excited about this....now not so much.

In Llorente and Aurier we have two players that know what it's like to win trophies, exactly the type of experience this squad needs. Great day so far if this one comes off as expected.

I'll be very happy if we land him. Massive upgrade on Janssen and add to that his vast experience. Perfect 2nd option for us.

At 32 it's surprising he'd choose us over Chelski given they are no doubt offering bigger wages.

The Moose on Talksport saying the only thing holding up the Llorente deal is the Bony deal to Swansea.

Do they? Just before he came on TS were saying Chelsea had upped their offer.
SSN been reporting it for the last hour or so. Thought it was common knowledge. Bony re signs for Swansea, then Llorente officially signs for someone (us).

Buying Llorente and loaning out Janssen is a masterstroke as Janssen needs the game time to improve in this league.

Also worth bearing in mind, 3rd choice at Chelsea (behind Morata + Batshuayi) or 2nd choice at Spurs (Behind Kane ahead of Janssen).

And that's on the assumption that Costa is 100% leaving Chelsea.

And even though they have more matches to play this season, Conte won last year by not rotating his squad.

Really really wanted Llorente back when he was at Bilbao, still like him but not the monster he was...
If Levy is going to have a monster surprise for us this year ( VdV type) I really hope it's another one I felt we lost out on... Yannick Ferreira Carrasco would be trickery and pace but sadly can't think of a single reason A.Madrid would let him go:(
